Petit déjeuner monumental qui compense la quasi absence de wi fi....Jardin idéal pour tout amoureux de nature et des oiseaux,des écureuils et des singes (vite chassés par le propriétaire)...Repas sur mesure,non épicé et végétarien et à un prix imbattable.... 400 roupies par personne et je vous défie de tout finir.... Copieux ou plutôt Gargantuesque est le mot....Vélo ancien mais acceptable pour ce prix 350 roupies...Le propriétaire est aussi...

« Location is good. Lots of ants and insects in the room. Host was welcoming. But be aware of food cost. Ask price before ordering. We order seafood dinner for three. He made combination of fish, calamari, tiny crabs and few shrimp and charged 50 dollars(water for drink). We paid as we did not ask before eating. Then he came back and ask 800 rupees for driver’s break fast. We paid. A minute later he came for driver’s accommodation cost. At that point we said, NO. We stayed 2 weeks in Sri Lanka....

« When I arrived I was told the hotel was closed. I took pictures to prove I was there as I had already paid through Expedia. I then had a ‘neighbour’ show up to ‘offer’ alternate accommodation at a very much more cost! The hotel is on a back street and when confronted with having to find an option on the day when I was hoping to visit the palace I conceded to the higher price. This was classic ‘bait & switch! Do not ever book this hotel!!!! »

"We absolutely loved our stay at Taru Villa. The place is stunning, the rooms are decorated with taste and attention to detail, and the hotel overall is truly splendid and perfectly human-sized. The restaurant is delicious with a very talented chef — special mention to the Sri Lankan breakfast, which was as generous as it was tasty. The staff is extremely attentive and lovely. I therefore highly recommend this hotel, which for me is one of the best in Sri Lanka. The only small point is that it would be more transparent to specify the taxes to be added to the services, particularly for the spa treatments, which are not negligible! "
