Nice access right to the lift and some nice little runs or take the traverse right over to the main base of snowshoe. I would recommend bringing groceries if you plan to cook. First time visitors to Snowshoe. This unit had a locker included for snow gear, we did not know we needed that. It was really handy. The unit was spacious enough for 2 adults and 2 youths. The only reason it was not a 5 star is the fireplace did not work and has not for some time. According to staff. This is something that you want when at a ski resort. Prioximty to slopes are great. Shuttle service to the village ran often and were courteous. Hot tubs and sauna were great after a day on the slopes. Mar 15, 2020 Liked: Cleanliness, communication, location, listing accuracy #### Dynamite location; comfortable, clean condo We love the Soaring Eagle complex with it's fantastic location & proximity to the slopes! This condo did not disappoint. It was cozy & clean. The bathroom and bedroom were super spacious for my husband and me. It would have been pretty tight had our 12 year old twins been much bigger. It wasn't ready until 5 (the scheduled check in was 4) but they were nice & apologetic about it. The parking garage is a great perk. Kitchen supplies were pretty lean with only 4 bowls, 4 plates, 4 mugs, etc. There was not a crockpot which was inconvenient. Overall we had a lovely time and would be delighted to return. The challenges you read about the check in process are accurate. Have to go to Allegany Springs lobby to check in. They didn’t have the reservation in their system. Had to call VRBO customer service. They resolved it. Key worked for the door but not the elevators or other access points in the building. Had to go to a different bldg to reprogram the keys. No response to phone calls or emails during stay. Neighboring resort gave me key card to get into facility. No one from Soaring Eagle property was at the resort other than housekeeping. No working TV remote. Horrible Check in experience during freezing temperatures and snow falling on mountain top. Snowmobile and horse riding booked months in advance and are not available. Sinks and tubs didn’t drain. We had to look for dishes. Finally found them - still dirty in the dish washer. Crumbs on the counter tops. Hair on shower wall. Kitchen towels had foul odor. TV only worked part of the time. The smallest bar of soap for a 5 day stay at top dollar rates. No paper towels. No coffee. Our expectation was at least what we’d have at a hotel - although this was more expensive. On the positive side - Steven the concierge was awesome. The views and hot tubs were great. Loved the parking garage and ski in ski out. The bed was comfortable. We thought the lodge had a spot to grab a coffee or drink but it doesn’t. ##### Steven C. Mar 9, 2022 Liked: Cleanliness, communication, location, listing accuracy #### Ski-in, Ski-out We loved the location, the stunning lodge, clean, well-appointed condo w an eastern view of the mountains, the outdoor hot tub and friendliness of the manager and guests. It is also a plus to have garage parking and a ski locker. The check-in was a little difficult and we didn’t get the code to the ski locker right away because it was the property manager’s day off when we arrived.
