Offering Ski-In/Ski-out access, Shamrock is a great place to be for your winter adventures! On the ground floor, you'll find a convenient mudroom-style entry, ideal for storing all your equipment. The kitchen is fully stocked, and there's also a half bath, laundry facilities, and a cozy living room with a gas fireplace and sleeper sofa. Moving up to the second floor, you'll discover a private bedroom and a full bathroom. Enjoy the neighborhood amenities including a tennis court, bike wash, covered picnic area, basketball hoop, children's playground, hammock, firepit, and easy access to the western territory. \*\*Please Note: Snowshoe Mountain Resort temporarily closes from mid-October to Thanksgiving every year for transition from mountain bike season to ski season. It is a beautiful area to explore and plenty of outdoor adventures anytime of the year, but please know amenities will be limited. Please contact us with any questions. A Few Things to Mention Snowshoe Mountain Resort is known as the Island in the Sky, providing top-rated amenities and entertainment at an elevation of 4848 feet in the Appalachian Mountains of West Virginia. Due to its location, there is no cell service within an hour from Snowshoe, and WIFI in the Village may be unreliable. Please be sure to have directions and contact numbers prior to traveling. This rental was perfect in that regard by having slider door open right onto grass area. Other than that, the place was over priced IMO. The negatives: It is in desperate need of updating. The floors are slanted, and even the downstairs toilet is leaning sideways! Upstairs floors have major creeks and I was afraid I would fall through the shower floor by the sounds of it. The bulky furniture pieces did this very small place did it no favors. The walls are PAPER THIN and literally could hear the neighbors every word in the bedroom and bathrooms. There is no central thermostat but a bunch of old floor/wall heaters all over the house. The fake fireplace only put out heat for a few min, and then stopped working. Overall the place just felt dusty and old. The listing photos look cleaner and more spacious than it is. Positive notes: Plenty of hot water and good water pressure. The bed was fairly comfortable (which is usually hard to get with rentals). Location is good if you dont care about going all the way over to the Village every day. The short walk to Tuques was fine with us. Communication with the mgnt company was good. And of course, the direct access to yard space for the dog was great.
