H. 17 janv. 2026 The location of this property is wonderful. Ski in ski out is effortless, ski lockers downstairs are great. However, the hot water was non-existent or barely existent throughout our entire (4night) stay regardless of what time of day we used it. The silverware/ dishes were dirty, probably due to the fact that after arrival, they inform you that you, the guests have to hand wash them and put them away. The bathroom had a brown substance splattered above the shower walls and the shower curtain smelled of mildew. We messaged management and they had someone bring up a new one, but we had to remove the old one and put up the new curtain and liner ourselves. The TV is outdated and mounted "fixed" on the wall so you cannot rotate it to watch it in the bed. (Only comfortably viewable via couch.) Access to rentals, lift tickets, the village and slopes are all right there. Definitely would stay in the same location. The unit itself could use some updating (the mini-fridge didn't close, so nothing stayed cold & couldn't be used). The tub/shower drain was always backed up, which is kind of gross, and the musty smell never went away, even after keeping a window open. The bed was terrible and the pull-out couch was broken (springs broken). The pillows were thin, the sheets scratchy, no extra blankets. The toilet paper holder was broken, the hand towel holder was broken, no air dryer in the room. The carpet was stained and it smelled as if someone had smoked in the room prior to our arrival. It was a great space for me and my girlfriend. The room has a small stovetop as well as a microwave so I was able to cook meals instead of eating out. Also had a mini fridge, though you will need to keep some stuff in a cooler depending on how much food you bring. The room was very clean. The only negative is I attempted to hook up my ROKU to the tv so we could watch movies but the tv didn’t have an HDMI port. Not a huge deal, but would have been nice. The manager made me go to another building to get new keys because wrong keys were given to us. When we got in room the room was dirty though they told us we couldn’t check in early because of extra cleaning time for covid. It didn’t even look like they cleaned. Food on the floor, food in the pull out couch, and dust piled thick on the bed. I have taken numerous pictures. Then the toilet broke and it took the plumber 5 hours to fix. He came by and “fixed it” but it didn’t work. I had to call manager again and said he was on his way, which he was not. Finally at 1030pm, after being broken all day, I told her we were going to bed. Mind you I have a 2 year old and a 5 yr old who I had to dress up to go outside to use a public bathroom every time they had to go. Easy ski in/ski out access and perfect village location. ##### Laura B. The room had everything we needed (pots, pans, coffee machine, tea kettle, great water pressure, etc.) and the locker was able to fit all of our gear for the three of us. The only thing we had some issues with was the quality of the pull out couch. ##### Andrea N. They even let us borrow a ski jacket for our 10 year old who left his at home. The parking lot right at the entrance was tiny and insanely busy, but we found a primo spot in the lot across the road. This was a first time staying in the Village--and we loved the easy access to slopes, shops, sustenance, and shuttles. The place was tight for four (about hotel room size) but clean and efficiently laid out. The included ski locker was a great perk. Taking the shuttle to the less crowded Silver Creek was easy (and advisable). Now the bad: the bed was uncomfortable, and the sofa bed was horrific. The metal fold-out frame was broken, and we put the mattress on the floor and rotated who had to sleep there. Two days later and my back still hurts. We left early because of the beds (and a day of rainy warm weather). If not for the borrowed jacket, I would've requested a night's refund honestly. The ice makers on our floor and those above and below us were broken for half the trip--Expedition Station seems prone to breakdowns it seems. The temperature was always too warm until we either opened a window or turned on the air. There was also a distinct lack of a comfy lodge area with accessible wifi (the included wifi was within the room only) and so when I would rise earlier than my family, there was no place to go until Starbucks opened at 7:30am. I would not stay at this particular rental again (or Expedition Station), though I would be open to using Mountain Valley rentals again. Last note: be aware that passes to Split Rock pools (which was great fun!) are included when you book directly with Snowshoe but not when you use rental services. Here's to hoping the property gets better! ##### Jason S. Séjour de 4 nuits en janvier 2020 ### 8/10 – Bien #### David P., Falls Church, VA, USA 23 déc. 2019 Points forts : Propreté #### Good Start, then No Hot Water, Great location and great property. The local property manager, who is not onsite, was accommodating to our late arrival by leaving the card key at the desk of Allegheny Springs, which is managed by the Snowshoe resort. Unfortunately, after a day of awesome skiing, we returned to our room around 6pm to discover no hot water. Unfortunately the rental property manager’s office was closed for the evening. We contacted the resort and were informed that the boiler in the building had failed, and they were relocating guests to a different property, and we were to return to the Allegheny Spring front desk to be reassigned. Unfortunately we were then informed that because we had rented this property not through the resort, they were unable to accommodate us, and the only person who could assist us was the property manager. We attempted repeatedly to contact the property manager using the emergency phone number, leaving several messages. Unfortunately we never heard back. The following day, we had still not heard back. Fortunately the resort eventually repaired the boiler, restoring hot water the second day of our stay. As of this moment we have still not heard back from the property manager. This experience has changed my opinion on renting properties at snowshoe resort through a third-party. In situations like this the resort is not responsible for accommodating you as a guest if you did not rent the property through them. Moving forward I do not believe the risk is worth the savings, and will not be renting resort properties at snowshoe via Vrbo or other third parties again. ##### David P.
