If you have an electronic vehicle, there is a charger less than a mile to the west, which currently provides free Lower speed charging to give you enough energy to drive down to North end, if required – that’s an excellent plus! However, it was advertised as a ski in/ski out. and it was a corner lot house in a neighborhood. So snowshoeing from the house was out of the question, which is what we wanted to do. Very close to the Hyak base area but a bit of a walk involved. Overall, the home was beautiful and clean aside from a few dirty dishes put away in the cabinets - likely an honest oversight. Very spacious and cozy! WiFi was quite slow for streaming services but worked after some patience. Check out is listed in the home manual as 11am and 10am on the VRBO listing - a little confusion there and no option to slightly extend check out. It is a bit misleading saying it is a “ski in and ski out; it’s not and hasn’t been for a good while. You have to drive to the ski areas as The Summit is no longer offering a shuttle to various areas. If you go during or after a good snow be aware the drive to the garage is steep, very narrow and short. They do not do anything to clean the drive and there’s no deicer to put down. My husband and my grandson spent hours shoveling the snow and ice and the neighbor was kind enough to help pull my 4 wheel drive out of the driveway because I couldn’t get the truck out. We were there for 4 days, I work from home so internet was super important and these guys didn’t care!
