Very Disappointing
This property has such potential, in that it sits on the beach and has plenty of room. However, there are maintenance issues and, in our experience, is poorly managed by Vacasa NC. While it is described as a “luxury” rental, that was definitely not our experience. Our group of 10 family members travels together every 2 years, and we’ve stayed in several VRBO rentals, but never have we had such a poor experience.
To start with, our rental wasn’t clean and available to us until after 6:15, and even then there was still visible dirt on fans, interior cabinets, and stairs, with dirty laundry left in closet floors. Very disappointing after a long day of travel. Secondly, the two king size beds had queen size sheets on them! On one of the beds, the four corners of the mattress were not covered, leaving an exposed unwashed mattress pad as a sleep surface! We spent our first day of vacation cleaning and reaching out to Vacasa for appropriately sized sheets, which did not arrive for 2 days! We spent our second day trying to get Vacasa to respond and going out to purchase a set of sheets.
The towels left for us were one bath towel and wash cloth per person; only a few hand towels were left (not enough for each bathroom) and no bath mats were provided.
Again, this experience is the worst we’ve ever had. We’ve never left less than a 4 or 5 star rating. This trip was expensive for us, which adds to the disappointment. Never again will we rent a Vacasa property.
