The decor is simple, which works well for our kids, nothing fragile or risky to hide away. This particular condo is only one flight of stairs from the parking lot and there is an elevator nearby. We have been visiting Topsail for over 25 years and this was probably the first time we stayed in a property that I would not give 5 stars. We have stayed at Shipwatch II the last 5 years but this was the first time at this property. The location, access to the ocean and pool are all amazing which we knew! However the unit itself is beyond basic, cold and has no character. Luckily we were just there for a short weekend stay because all it’s good for was a place to sleep. The kitchen is filled with the bare necessities, so if you plan on cooking meals be prepared to possibly not have what you need. There were a list of items wrong with the unit that I made the owner aware of as soon as we got there. The owner did reach out and asked if any of the items listed needed fixed right now, however we said no because we were only there for the weekend. The floors were dirty throughout. The master bedroom sliding door is rusted shut and master bathroom door does not shut. We were unable to use the patio. The only patio furniture is two very cheap plastic chairs, there are also ring cameras that point directly on the patio and from the front door into the kitchen window (where there is no blind or curtain mind you) So if you like basic and being spied on this place is great! ##### Lindsay S. They had their own bedroom and bathroom with plenty of space for the 4 of them, and my husband and I had our own space and bathroom. There was plenty of space for all of us in the living and dining areas. It was a very short walk to the beach and the swimming pool (my 4 year old granddaughter LOVED the pool). It’s on the first floor so not much of an ocean view due to the sand bank but you could hear it and smell it and it was a short walk to beach. We stayed Memorial Day weekend and still the beach wasn’t over crowded. Really nice beach and pool. We couldn’t find the pool fob and had to message the manager to buzz us in the pool but she responded quickly. The parking lot did get full a couple times and we had to do rounds to find a spot. Beds were comfortable and condo was very clean. Really nice water pressure in the showers, was quiet and relaxing stay. Kitchen was well stocked with pans and utensils too. ##### Jennie D. If you stay here be careful. The owner looks for ways to take your money. We arrived early, we knew it was before the check in time, but we decided to check the room. No one was there, and it looked clean. We decided to change clothes and hit the beach. We may have been in the room 5 minutes. When we got home I received a email from the owner. He had charged me 50 dollars for arriving early. He saw it on the security camera. There was no harm done, we spoke to the cleaning people who arrived as we were leaving. ##### Chad R. Chris was very responsive and easy to work with. I loved looking at the ocean and listening to the waves 24/7\. The long beach was terrific for daily walks. Very peaceful escape.
