"We traveled to the Slidell area from Florida with our family of five (2 adults, 3 kids) to look at local real estate, and staying at the Wingate by Wyndham was a fantastic choice. The hotel’s proximity to New Orleans was a fun perk that gave us easy access to the city while staying in a great area. What impressed us most was how the staff handles unexpected hiccups. Due to a minor room mix-up during our travel time, our original room was no longer available. The staff stepped up immediately, made alternative arrangements without skipping a beat, and provided a discount for the inconvenience. Because of the room change, we needed to request a roll-away bed. After a long 10-hour road trip with three kids, we were blown away to walk into our new room and find the extra bed already delivered, fully set up, and made with clean linens. That thoughtful touch was an absolute lifesaver for tired parents! Another huge highlight for our family was the amenities. They have a really nice indoor pool and a super hot hot tub that was so relaxing. On rainy days, the pool area provided endless entertainment for the kids and saved the day! The rest of our stay was just as seamless. The rooms were spotless, the entire team was incredibly friendly and eager to help, and the complimentary breakfast was delicious and continuously restocked throughout the morning. If we ever find ourselves back in the area, we would absolutely stay here again."

"I only stayed for one night. The bed was comfortable and the room was nice and clean. My only complaint was there was a smell, like too much air freshener trying to hide a stinky smell. The hallway close to the side exit was wet and smelled funny. The complimentary breakfast could have been better also but overall it was a good stay."

"The gentleman at the front desk was really nice but the cleanliness of the rooms is absolutely horrendous. It feels like we’re living in the Third World country. Motel 6 used to be one of the cleanest motels in the whole United States. You could always count on them for cleanliness, Cheap rooms, and great service. I don’t know who took over ownership, but whoever did is destroying all of their properties one by one they’re making it look like a Third World country."

"The house was very nice. But also dirty. All the curtains were floor length & heavy. But all had what appeared to be animal urine on the bottom. Stuff was splattered on the walls. But could’ve been easily wiped off. The garbage disposal was clogged & filled the sink with disgusting water. My husband called the host a few times. But didn’t get a response. My son in law is a maintenance supervisor so he fixed it after the next day. It was full of broken glass & crawfish shells. It worked perfectly after that was removed. The “coffee bar” was an old coffee pot, a partial bag of sugar and some plastic spoons."
