Villa Kentavros is ideal for the people looking for a romantic and peaceful get-a-way, whilst being close to the amenities of Skopelos Town, only 10 minutes away by car. It is the perfect spot for walkers, with easy access to many trails, as well as for painters who will appreciate the wonderful scenery from Pefkias hillside. Surroundings: Villa Kentavros is one of three fully private villas set in their own grounds in the peaceful area of Pefkias, on the hillside above Skopelos Town. Kentavros has its own driveway and sits above Villa Arktos and next to villa Pegasus. It is surrounded by pine forests while it oversees the Skopelos harbor and the Aegean. The villa is completely private and not overlooked by the other two villas. Villa Kentavros is situated in the area of Pefkias, on the hillside above Skopelos Town (about 10 minutes by car) and enjoys fantastic views down the lush wooded valley to Skopelos harbor and the sea beyond. Interior: Entry into this simple but beautiful villa, is to the open plan living / dining room, with comfortable furnishings and French windows, leading out to the front terrace which looks down the wooded valley to Skopelos Town and the sea beyond. Off to one side of the living room is a well equipped kitchen, complete with dishwasher and a separate wc. French windows from here also lead to the front terrace with with a small dining table for alfresco meals. A doorway from the kitchen leads to a specious double bedroom and en suite wc/shower room with windows from which to admire the stunning views. This unique and enchanting house is entered into the sitting room which is open plan with the kitchen and a small w/c. This one-level house is decorated in rich colored walls, terra cotta floors and dark wood-beamed ceilings. The room is furnished with a comfortable sofa (which converts to a bed for extra sleeping for 2 persons) and two couches and tables with views to the harbor from the spacious windows. The couches with soft big pillows add to the warm and comforting atmosphere. From this room there is a French door leading to a roomy terrace with the same lovely views and has access to the swimming pool. The spacious open-plan kitchen is located off the living room which is equipped with full size cooker/oven and all modern conveniences. There is a breakfast table, but most meals will probably be taken on the terrace which is furnished with an ample dining table and comfortable chairs. A small w/c is located between the living room and the kitchen. Exterior: The exterior walls have being painted in bright colors, a technique taken from ancient times and which complement the surroundings. It is quiet, and in a remote location but with a car you are quickly in the lively town below. We had a wonderful holiday and do not hesitate to recommend the villa and the more than welcoming and helpful host, Dimitris, to anyone wishing to escape to an idyllic, peaceful setting. ##### Sarah F. Skopelos is a great island - gorgeous beaches and lovely restaurants without being overly touristy or busy. And the villa had everything we need, amazing views and privacy so it felt like we were in our own slice of paradise. ##### Caroline C. Man fühlte sich gleich willkommen, im Kühlschrank war schon eine kleine Grundausstattung. Einzig das Bett ist auf Dauer hart. Der Pool mit dem Blick zum Hafen ist genial, man hört den gesamten Tag das angenehme Läuten der Ziegenherde und hat den Geruch von Kräutern und Pinienwald in der Nase. Der guten Seele des Hauses, Herrn Kosma, wollen wir besonders Danken. Außergewöhnlich auch der Vermieter. Obwohl er nicht vor Ort ist, merkt man, dass es ihm wichtig ist, dass sich seine Gäste Wohlfühlen. Wir wünschen ihm mit seinem Nachbarn alles Gute. ##### Christian K. Dimitris took every care to make sure that our holiday was enjoyable with texts, emails and calls that were prompt and helpful. However, we absolutely loved this quirky villa. We had a couple of small issues at the beginning but Dimitris and his team put them right immediately. Nothing was too much of an effort for them. The views overlooking Skopelos town were absolutely stunning and the pool was lovely. At first glance, it seems to be in the middle of nowhere but that’s deceptive as it’s within easy drive of the main town, as well as the beaches in the south.
