The Bay of Tragumna is to speak in front of you. The house has about 80 square meters, it is divided into a large living / dining room with an open fireplace as the center and integrated kitchen on the ground floor, this room is open up to the roof and forms one side of the house. The other half consists of one bedroom and a bathroom on the ground floor and upstairs, which is reached by a staircase with a small gallery from the living room. The cottage is fully furnished, bed linen, towels and tea towels are provided. The kitchen is well equipped, in the living room there is CD player, satellite TV and DVD player, the house has central heating and on the sea side a large terrace with access to a very large lawn. About the property leads to a small pebble beach in the bay; A sandy beach is 200m away. Near the house there is a traditional Irish pub with live music on weekends. In bustling Skibbereen (6km) you can buy everything that makes life pleasant. The coast between Tragumna and Castletownshend is spectacular with ever-changing views z. A cette période tout est calme et on y vit au rythme des marées. En option nous avons même pu voir une baleine(petit rorqual??) dans la baie devant la terrasse. La maison est un peu éloignée des principaux centres d’intérêt ( les 3 presqu’îles) mais ce n’est qu’un détail tant elle est agréable. 3 suggestions pour encore améliorer le séjour: un book traduit en anglais… nous sommes en Irlande; un microonde serait bien utile; la wifi serait un vrai plus à notre époque. It was very clean. The main bed and sofas could be more comfortable and maybe those and linens are getting a little tired and yes it would be nice if there was a dishwasher and washer/dryer but the vibe here is rustic, relaxed, back in time and for that it is very well placed as is the location which is just outstanding. You are literally next to a very welcoming family friendly pub, and a three minute walk from a swimming beach with lifeguards etc. The host is excellent as is the house keeper who keeps the cottage in excellent order. ##### Stephen C. Das Haus ist mit allem ausgestattet, was man so braucht. Darüberhinaus sogar mit Büchern, DVDs und Spielen. Der atemberaubende Ausblick auf die Tragumna-Bay ist unbezahlbar. Super Lage am Meer. Ein gemütlicher Pub in der Nähe. Eine schöne abwechslungsreiche Küste sowohl in direkter Umgebung, als auch für Tagesausflüge. Einkäufe können im in der Nähe gelegenen Ort Skibbereen erledigt werden. Der Kontakt zum Vermieter und zur Betreuerin vor Ort war unkompliziert und zuvorkommend. Séjour de 7 nuits en août 2024 ### 8/10 – Bien #### Kilian L. 29 août 2024 Points forts : Propreté #### traumhafte Gegend in Irland Das Cottage liegt perfekt, die Bucht, der Ausblick von der Terrasse, das Pub gleich neben an, alles super für einen entspannten Urlaub. Es gibt viele Highlights zum Erkunden in der Gegend. Brow’s Head, Mizen Head, Klinakilty, Skibbereen, … Kayaking, Fischen, Schwimmen, Surfen, alles möglich. Das Cottage selbst hinkt unserer Ansicht nach dem aktuellen Standard hinterher (keine Möglichkeit nasse Wäsche aufzuhängen - nicht nur für Neos, es regnet manchmal auch in Irland; kein wlan, keine Waschmaschine, …), war aber sauber und geräumig für uns zwei. Wenn man heizen und die stromfressende Heizung (Strom wird extra abgerechnet) vermeiden will, kann man den wunderbar ziehenden Kamin verwenden. Holz dafür gibt's im Supermarkt oder an der Tankstelle. Die in anderen Teilen Irlands und bei anderen Häusern, die wir im Laufe der Jahre gemietet hatten, übliche Menge Heizmaterial zur "Begrüßung" bzw. um direkt ein Feuer machen zu können, haben wir hier leider vermisst... ##### Kilian L. Das Wetter war Ende Juni/Anfang Juli recht kühl und unbeständig und das Cottage kühlt schnell aus. Die Bettdecken sind nicht wirklich warm und wir mussten heizen. Die Heizkosten muss man am Ende des Urlaubs bar bezahlen. Bei uns für 1 Woche 34 Eur. In der Küche haben wir scharfe Messer vermisst und ein Salatbesteck. Sonst alles bestens - West-Cork ist wunderschön und wir würden dieses Cottage wieder mieten. ##### Edda K. What a beautiful place to say. The cottage was spotless when we arrived and is equipped with everything you need. Breda was so welcoming and always on hand to help and answer any questions we had throughout our stay. Waking up in the morning to the view across the bay was a real treat every day.
