This is a well-situated hotel, within walking distance of Chinatown and, of course, close to Clarke Quay. Rooms aren't huge, but there's enough space not to feel cramped and the (shower only) bathrooms are fine. Everything is spotlessly clean and, as you'd expect in Singapore, everyone is super-efficient and friendly. We have stayed here twice now, and we'll use it again. We feel that it gives us good value for money. If we have a gripe, it's that breakfast (included in the room price) is a bit of a battle!! It gets very crowded and, because the hotel caters for pretty much every culture in this massively multi-cultured city, each type of breakfast preference is spread a little thin and the quality, whilst perfectly adequate, isn't of the highest............fruit juices come from dispensing machines, for example. All that said, we intend to return, so these small "gripes" must be taken in balance with the fact that the hotel is good value, the breakfast is included, the staff are wonderful and the hotel is very well situated.
