Unfortunately, I did not feel our room was adequately cleaned or sanitary during our stay. We stayed in room 207, and the floors were so dirty that our bare feet became black from simply walking around the bedroom. The bed closest to the bathroom had a strong urine smell. Although the sheets and blankets appeared clean, the smell seemed to be coming from the mattress, so we did not use that bed. The smell in the room was strong enough that we slept with the window open both nights. The refrigerator also did not keep our food cold, and we had to throw food away. The bathroom sink overflow opening was heavily coated with dirt and grime, and the shower curtain and lampshades were noticeably stained. I do want to mention that the gentleman at the front desk who assisted us at check-in was very helpful and accommodating. He helped us find a room with a window that opened, which we appreciated very much. I understand this is not a five-star hotel and I was not expecting luxury or brand-new furnishings. However, clean and sanitary accommodations are a reasonable expectation at any hotel. Unfortunately, despite the helpful front desk service, I am not sure I could stay here again based on the condition and cleanliness of the room.

Very disappointing experience at Staybridge Suites in Saskatoon. For the price they charge, I expected considerably more. The hotel offers very little in the way of amenities and feels extremely poor value for the money. There isn’t even a bar or lounge on site, which is surprising for a hotel charging these rates. If you want somewhere to relax, have a drink, or enjoy anything resembling a full-service hotel experience, you have to leave the property. The rooms are also incredibly small and feel dated, which really surprised me because this is a relatively newer hotel. I expected something much more modern, spacious, and comfortable. What makes this even more frustrating is that this stay was supposed to be part of a great night away, and instead the hotel experience put a real damper on the evening. Rather than being somewhere enjoyable to come back to and relax, it became one of the biggest disappointments of the night. I have stayed at many hotels that offered far more for significantly less money. Based on my experience, this place feels like an absolute rip-off and I would not stay here again. If you are booking in Saskatoon and amenities, room quality, atmosphere, and value matter to you, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere.
