Pleasant stay here, the food was delicious and the accommodation was very clean and comfortable. Would highly recommend a stay here if you’re visiting the area. The close proximity to Ludlow is excellent and downtown Ludlow is delightful.

Great Visit.
Loved our stay. Great Family staff and superb food. Will go back anytime. Very convenient position for the town and very quiet at night. On one of our nights, the local male voice choir had a belated Christmas dinner, and afterwards sang in the dining room. Great evening.

Disappointing Breakfast
Stay was okay, but nowhere near the rating of 9 on hotels.com, closer to a 6.5/7 Room clean, the food was ‘okay’ Breakfast nothing special, a bit disappointing tbh. Quite expensive for what we got.

Comfortable, helpful and good situation
The room was very comfortable, with a great view of the castle. We were looking around castles in the area. The woman on reception was very helpful and recommended Richard's castle which we visited the next day. The hotel is out of the bustle of the town but just a short and very pleasant (though steep) walk from the centre. It's dog friendly. We would like to visit again sometime.

The restaurant had good choices and the dishes were well prepared. The staff were attentive and effiicient. However, the accommodation was tired and needed some refurbishment.

Fabulous two nights stay. Lovely quiet room overlooking fields and allotments- beautiful. Evening meal was amazing as was breakfast both mornings. Great location with easy walk into Ludlow.

Very enjoyable stay in Ludlow
The Cliffe is situated just outside Ludlow town centre. It's a short walk in but be aware that there is a bit of a steep hill. Our room and bathroom were very clean and comfortable with everything required for a pleasant overnight stay. We found all staff friendly and approachable. Full cooked breakfast in the morning was very tasty. Would recommend.

Disappointing
The accommodation was disappointing in that we reserved a 'cottage, superior, en-suite' which turned out to be a modern bungalow-type building adjacent to the restaurant. Although nicely decorated it didn't come across as superior in any way. It was strange to have one's breakfast bowl of fruit, yoghurt etc made up in the kitchen rather than being able to select from a buffet. The cooked breakfast was okay but it would have been good to see the restaurant promoting the prize-winning Ludlow sausage. Staff seemed unhappy and stressed.

Nice for a night or two
Nice enough hotel. No real frills but staff were nice and the bed comfortable. Its a little out of town but only 10 - 15 mins walk, albeit up a steep hill.

This premise is not suitable for disabled people or those with reduced mobility. Entry to property is via steps and up a steep gradient from the carpark. Internally is no no lift & all guestrooms are on the first & second floors. This premise is more a restaurant with Rooms with no staff on site when the restaurant closes around 9:30 pm
