Gorgeous rooms with top notch amenities. We used there complimentary bikes and bikes all around the small town. There are many restaurants and shops within walking distance. Our family was amazed from the moment we checked in, room was spacious, clean, amenities were top of the line, decor was serenity with original Japanese beams/doors. We spent most of day time in Shizuoka or Mt. Fuji area to explore and used Mochimune as a base to rest. We booked breakfast option so it was like a fest for our family in the morning with 2 chefs coming over to the kitchen prepare our meal. This would be one of my top stays around the world in the last 20 years if it wasn’t for bed bugs…YES. Bed bugs! Had to hunt them down first night, so did not get much sleep at all. Staff came in the next day to spray the entire room and switch out sheets/pillow case/blanket, but I told them the bugs are “in the mattress”, but guess there were no place to get new mattress on the day, so battle was on again the second night….
