Amazing sunsets come free with this Lake Home directly on the Waterfront, located near Shipshewana Indiana, 2 minutes from Exit 107 from the Toll Road. White Pigeon is two miles north for groceries and a few small restaurants. Larger than a Cottage, 2 bedrooms, Master has a king sized bed, 2nd bedroom has two twin sized beds, 1 newly remodeled bath room, 2 sleeper sofas(One queen and one full), huge deck overlooking the all sports lake, plenty of sun, fishing, swimming. Charcoal Grill. All of the normal amenities. High Speed Internet included, 3 TV's, Washer and Dryer are optional. Year round lake house with heat. Plenty of space. Nice roads for walking around the lake.

Peaceful and Quiet
The cottage was as described. It was clean, bed was very comfortable, sunset was awesome. We were looking to unplug and enjoy the local area, which we did. We never met the host, he had left his number for any issues, and we had none, check in was easy, GPS took us right to the cottage. I would certainly stay again. Thank you John for sharing your lakefront cottage the entire stay was fantastic.

Fabulous Fishing!
This little house had a beautiful deck with a great yard. The dock fishing was unbelievable. Was disappointed with the restriction of only two people on the dock at a time. We had 4 kids and 4 adults in our group and all wanting to enjoy the fishing. Large Mouth Bass, Blue Gill and Rock Bass all plentiful. The house was not as clean as it should of been. Dead bugs on floors, spider webs on walls, dirty dishes in the cabinets and dishwasher. Leaky bathroom sink and kitchen sink. Could not access one of sleeper sofa's due to its position in the room. Internet and TV were awesome. 3 season porch is where we spent 90% of our time. Overall our stay was very enjoyable.

On the Lake
The fans made noise and towels were slim. There was a set hanging over the dryer with an odor so we didn’t use them. That left 1 set. We managed and overall we enjoyed our stay.

At the lake
It was exactly what a lake house should be. I brought my own sheets and towels but did not need to as they were there and available. Got a bit mixed up regarding dates and John was most kind about it. Might be nice to have directions as to using the dishwasher.

Relax and Enjoy the View!
The house and location were perfect for our stay! Nice neighbors and quiet location with a great view of the lake from the deck. And only 20 minutes from Shipsee Flea Market!!

Nice Long Weekend Getaway
Property is exactly as pictured. I didn't think neighbors would be quite as close as they are - but it wasn't an issue. The little cottage beside this house is also a rental - so we had two different groups of people as "neighbors" in our 3-day stay (not an issue). The renters next to us were the only ones who spoke to us - locals stay to themselves. I put the address in my phone which got us to a locked chain (destination 700 feet ahead on right). We asked a man walking his dog and he let us know we were on the "Michigan" side and needed to go around the lake to get to our destination. The lake is big - but not HUGE - so it didn't take us long to go around to the "IN" side and end up almost exactly where we were. Again - not a big deal. The king-size bed was very comfortable, the shower had great water pressure, and the sunsets and lake views were amazing. The furniture inside the house is small but good for the size of the house. We had an amazing relaxing long weekend. The purpose of this trip was to take a safe relaxing trip with our dog - Mission Accomplished.

weekday get away
The good and the not so good, The sun rises and the sun sets were honestly Awesome, The deck was great to watch the boaters but there is no beach front and seaweed a plenty, no wading unless you like seaweed. The deck was spacious but we had to stack the chairs so we could get around the table, as the planters took up a lot of space, so it was not easy to get around the table if people sitting in the chairs. Only 2 of us so we just adjusted the table. No cable but there is internet.( honestly we did not use the internet we went to relax and unhook from the electronics) All in all a great 3 day get away. enjoyed the sunsets and the watching the Swans in the early morning hours, while drinking coffee on the deck as they swam with the babies. You can also walk around the lake but not drive, Google needs to update that part. there is a store 3 miles away in White Pigeon easy in easy out. We did not have a boat and that would have been nice on this lake. It shows a pontoon but not part of the stay. There was food left in the refrigerator and we did have to clean the inside of the micro before use. We did not use the shower we were close enough to home we just used ours. The owner offered 1 roll of toilet paper and 1 roll of paper towels. So word to the wise take paper goods :). Had a great time just relaxing and enjoying the view. not really sure how to rate the communication with the owner as we did not call them or talk to them.

At the lake
Was the first time I rented a cottage at the lake it was very nice the cabin was clean neat I took my two dogs they were well behaved and they enjoyed themselves I had a wonderful time the only thing I would’ve changed is the water was murky and had a lot of green stuff floating in it but I still went in you swim out a little bit it was fine
