Great Local Hotel But Hard to Find
Very decent local style hotel. The furnishings are older and not up to date, but for the price of $50 US, I was satisfied. The service was acceptable for a 3 star hotel. The staff did not speak much English, but the counter staff did call their limited English manager who also spoke Cantonese, so I was very satisfied with her very courteous service. The only thing is that this hotel was not on the major road, but is set back about a long block on a side street, so it was hard to find. I had to walk back and forth for about 10 minutes asking for directions to this hotel from the locals who did not understand my elementary Mandarin. It would help if Hotels.com give the pinyin pronounciation for this hotel on their website so I could pronounce it to the locals. I would recommend this hotel to others for its low cost and value. I would also recommend Hotels.com do a better job to offer us a pinyin pronounciation to help facilitate us getting to the hotel by the taxi drivers.
