Good photographer. But not how it really is
Very Moldy walls and baseboards. Dark and spooky, especially the washroom. 4 stars and they charged me for toothbrush and regular toiletries. No Wifi on iPhone. All instructions in chinese. Stained carpets. Aircon sputtering noisy and not really cold. I can’t even upload pics of all the mold.

The fungus. The parts of pilled off wallpapers with marks of the fungus' fight. The bed, the mattress smells with fungus especially when the humidity is high. The cockroaches. I saw small and huge. On my bed. In the night. It waked me up by a special sound of the wings. That was great. Sir Alfred Joseph Hitchcock weeps somewhere...

Class hotel
Shenzhen was a fantastic stop during our Asian tour, well worth a couple of nights, the view from this hotel at night was amazing, the breakfast was good, and close to metro. Perfect

This is the worst hotel ever don't go there, this place is a rathole i have pictures to prove it, the pictures in Expedia have nothing to do with the place ,do you self a favor don't go there for the safety and well of you and you family

Strange design in bathroom and smelly room
The room supposed is a non-smoking room but when we enter the room, it’s smelly and the bed is also have smoking smell. The room is not really comfortable but the location is acceptably close to the metro station.

The room was in-complete, no water (No taps) at the basin. No fridge to keep something cold. This was an apartment- rated 4 stars. No cups to drink tea or coffee. Shocking apartment.

I walked in and right back out- no refund
Room was filthy and humid. Window was wide open when we walked in. Cigarette ash all over the carpet. Room smelled of cigarette and trash. When we turned on the air conditioner it reeked of mold/mildew. The carpets were severely stained. The kitchenette counter was filthy with what might have been spilled coffee- but could have been anything. Bathroom was too dark to tell whether it was cleaned, I suspect not.

Nice hotel, good value but disappointed there was not a designated shower stall. Everything was wet after shower. Location is a bit far from city center. Staff needs to be more fluent in English.

Very poor quality room, Business Suite terrible
Room had water damaged walls, terrible decor, no shower door, bed was terribly uncomfortable, condoms being sold beside the bed made it seem like a hotel for prostitution, I actually left one day early and forfeited my payment it was so bad. Supposedly it was one of the best rooms, but it was very low quality

Review of Proudway - The Real Stuff!
Negative Aspects: The 4-star rating given to the hotel was overrated. The room was reasonably sized and reasonable value for money but the bathroom was no more than 2m x 1m with a toilet and a shower head (the sink was located outside the bathroom - in the room). The staff's knowledge of English was very restricted with only one member of staff who knew some basic English but unfortunately was not conversational as they had problems understanding what I meant when I asked for where the lift or elevator was... Positive Aspects: The location was pretty good and accessible by the metro stations. The bed was also quite comfortable but cleanliness left a lot to be desired as I felt some itchiness when I slept, and the carpets appeared to not have been cleaned in quite some time.

Good location, very friendly staff.
As an American it seems one needs to not expect a 5 star hotel for a 2 star price. The staff were extremely friendly, and there was almost always a great English speaking person on duty. I have stayed in Shenzhen on 4 trips now at 4 different hotels (so with very limited experience) this is the one I will come back to on my next trip. $56, a great breakfast...will make you an omelet, and French toast! Handy safe in room. On the down side room carpet typical China not the newest and appeared dirty, no fridge, no English tv channels.

Close to shopping centre. Price would be cheaper if you booked online rather than walk-in. If you don't have high expectation, overall, money well spent at this hotel for 2 nights.

The Wifi in the hotel cannot be used by whom does not have a mobile phone number in China, which is super inconvenient to foreigners.

fantastic for its price
for the price it charges, the hotel is fantastic. good size,clean,strong wifi and doable bathroom. location was fantastic. close to downtown and lotsa eateries along the street. 15min walk to dongmen. only strange thing was bfast was for 1 when it was a double room for 2 so we didnt eat the bfast, considerin the room was only 50usd a night, we doubt the bfast would be anything worth waking up for anyway.

Stayed over for a night at this hotel. Takes about 10 mins walk from train station to the hotel, abit far especially been shopping the whole day out. Hotel is not too far from Lao Jie. The taxi fare cost around RMB12. Room is very spacious although bed is abit hard. Staffs are accommodating to allowing us to extend till 2pm.

General Sentiment of Stay @ Proud Way Hotel
Rooms are much smaller than what are posted on the booking site and the basin washing area is outside of the bathroom by the doorway. Bathroom also do not come with a tub and is very tiny with a little L-shape one end housing the toilet and the other, the standing shower. After showering, the entire area is wet and drying takes time. Room do not come with a fridge and upon requests, always quote that all available units are out. Location is a little far from Subway system and needing to walk a distance to nearest station which is by the walking street. There's also no 24hrs convenient store around the close proximity.

The wifi had no signal on the 15th floor and when i called room service, they didn't come. Had to call 2nd time.

The location is good, in the center of most places, near to train station. Only bad thing is the wifi connection, which is not very good.

Hotel not as new as shown in the photos. A bit run down and room not properly maintained with corners left with balls of dust and whatnots... Free wifi available at lobby only. But room has cabled broadband which did not help much as who would bring a router on vacation. Breakfast was so so... Go eat at the many good local eateries around. Nearest train station is still at least a good 10-min walk away. Hotel is in middle of old residential area but there are a couple of big shopping centers such as MixC and KK Mall nearby :) will return to stay at this hotel again if the mosquitoes at lobby leave.

Staff could not find expedia booking (even with my printed confirmation) and charged full price for rooms. AUD164 for business suite for average hotel is too expensive for China. Checked out next night and moved to Lushan Hotel. Much better and AUD110
