No hot water. Ice cold morning shower. Blood stain on tile. Wifi wouldnt connect. Only room available was not near elevator, and hotel was already "oversold" by "third party companies" per the staff at the front desk. Only reason I cared about elevator was a newborn in carseat and bags to carry by myself. Staff was friendly. The room didnt have bed size pillows just small square ones for a king size bed. Bed was comfortable and good enough for a one night stay. Expected more fro. Reviews and price of room.

The hotel is undergoing renovations. My room was right next to the entire section of rooms being worked on. Which meant I was woken up early by the noise of drilling and hammering. As there weren’t a lot of cars in the parking lot, I would have preferred a room away from the renovation. Also, the hot water kept going out while I took a shower. I don’t take long showers, maybe 10 minutes tops. So running out of hot water shouldn’t have been an issue.

Breakfast was good. Some units were under renovation. Hard to get good heat on a very cold night. Too easy to hear people in next unit. Didn’t know you enter unit from the outside.

I booked this dump because on kayak it had the most stars of all the hotels in town. What a complete and total dump.Room is dirty, paint pealing, cob webs hanging from the ceiling. We arrived after 9pm after a long day. Otherwise we would have left. Worst room I’ve ever stayed in anywhere.

Clean and great little motel for a weekend in Culpepper for a wedding. Would have loved to go in summer because the pool looks lovely!

Placed in smoking room. Smell so bad son had to leave room and sleep in car. Blinds yellowed. Hotel room hasn't been updated in decades. Bathroom so small difficult to even turn around.

Southern hospitality at its best
Very friendly staff. Best breakfast set up at any hotel I’ve ever been in! Wonderful, hot and cold Buffet with longer breakfast hours. Upon my return at a future date, I will be staying here again. 😊

We had no hot water gor showers. We had 1 light working in our room. The table desk lamp lightbulb was blown. The light fixture on pole light was extremely dim thinking it was almost blown as well. We basically had one light functioning on night stand. We spoke to front desk regarding our issues. We were told they knew about the water issue as tge entire property experienced it. The hotel manager did not offer any discounts towards pricing etc. We were in town drove 5 hours for the Apple Festival at Graves Mountsin Farm. I was very disappointed with our room at Best Western in Culpepper, VA

Hotel was rented out by a group but i was not notified. They were allowed to play loud music and have the pool open all night. Poor customer service to allow anyone else to rent a room while the property is consumed by one group. Should have been notified. Better yet the property should have been closed to others.

The group which stays with us every Labor Day weekend rents out the entire hotel. Each guest was notified in advance that we had a private event at the hotel and there may be noise and activity that may be disturbing.
