From the numerous portholes to the third-story Captain’s Quarters, every detail reflects a deep connection to the ocean and a passion for craftsmanship. Every piece of wood and brick was hand-selected for this beautiful home. Abalone shells are inlaid into the fireplace and shower tiles, while polished rocks and shells adorn each door knob and cabinet pull—details that make this home truly unique. Large, sun-filled windows frame stunning ocean views that stretch as far as the eye can see. Step onto the second-story deck to barbecue, relax in Adirondack chairs by the gas fire pit, and listen to the waves crash below. Shelter Cove’s refreshing coastal weather invites you to open the doors or crack a porthole and let the ocean breeze flow through the house. 🛏 Bedrooms Each bedroom offers its own charm and comfort: The first-floor bedroom features queen pillow top mattress with luxury linens, along with a couch that converts to a small futon bed—perfect for an additional adult or children. The second bedroom offers beautiful hardwood floors, luxury linens, and a cozy pillow-top mattress for a restful night’s sleep. The third-floor Captain’s Quarters, reached by a handcrafted wood-and-metal staircase, is a cozy retreat with ocean views on both sides—making you feel like you’re on a sea voyage. (Please note: the staircase may not be ideal for very young children or guests with limited mobility.) 🍳 Kitchen & Dining The fully equipped kitchen has everything you need to prepare delicious home-cooked meals or enjoy barbecuing on the deck—all with a spectacular ocean view. We brought our dog and he was so happy. We even did our baby’s gender reveal there, and it was incredible. I would definitely stay here again.The house was very clean, with board games, a speaker to play music, and a fully equipped kitchen. The coffee machine was excellent — everything was just perfect and spotless. There are three bedroom with queen/king beds (rather than rooms with twin beds) on three different floors. This was perfect for our family with three adult couples and one three year old. The toys were a hit with our 3 year old. There are even discreet safety gates on the stairs.The main floor has plenty of room and the kitchen works well. The house is spacious. The house looks newly remodeled and really works well! The views are lovely, the main living space is sunny and we enjoyed the sunsets and view of the sea in the hottub. All the bedrooms are a good size which we appreciated. For once there is no "bad bedroom" that someone gets stuck with. All the bedrooms are lovely. The house has plenty of towels and generous supplies which lately has been an issue in other rentals. The owner is the most responsive owner we have ever had, We highly recommend this home. We had such a great stay at this home! It has everything you need, is extremely comfortable, and great location. We stayed here for a week while a few of us hiked the Lost Coast trail. The grandparents stayed at the house with the kids while we hiked. The kids LOVED it. The top floor “captains” room was perfect for them. There were also a ton of games for them to play, and they loved looking out the telescope and using the binoculars. They loved the hot tub and the great view. From the house you can also walk to the little coffee shop places or the brewery. The kitchen was fully stocked for everything you need. The TV and living room area was super cozy for movie nights or reading/relaxing. I can’t say enough good things. It was perfect! We came back after a few days on the trail and enjoyed a final night hanging out here. I highly recommend! ##### Jennifer B.
