I stayed in room 803 and the floor at the foot of the bed was damp, there was a foul odour in the room throughout the duration of my stay, the room was cold and the tiny heater did little to change this (it also made a horrible sound when it was on). I was in “Business Class” and not once was my room tended to, hotel states that it’s a king sized bed however it’s just two singles put together. The room was dirty, cracks in the ceiling in the bathroom, minuscule amounts of body wash/shampoo/conditioner/soap (remember this was business class). TV was so small I needed binoculars to view it from my bed. I’ve never missed my mum’s womb before but I did whilst staying here.

Stayed here during a cycling break. The staff helped me store my bicycle in a storage room so didn’t need to bring into my room. Good chat with the front room. Easy access to city centre and restaurants. Right in the middle of a cycle lane that goes around the city. Definitely worth going back to this hotel 👍

The stay was pleasant, comfortable and the room served its purpose. Property is outdated and in need of refurbishment, an affordable place within a 10 minute walk of the city. The advert which entices you more with a free breakfast, however, the breakfast is a 4/10 at best.

The room was nice size and had plenty of amenities, but the tiles in the bathroom could do with re-grouting in places. The outside of the building looked like a building site with loads of wall tiles missing and boarded up windows/doors of a couple of small businesses but upon entering the main entrance it was so much nicer. The staff were friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the guests on my floor were noisy, starting with a group arguing in the corridor with each other and on loudspeaker on their phones from 11.45 pm to 1.00 am. I was then woke up again at 3.00 am by a group of women down the corridor who were talking so loud I thought they were right outside my door and after an hour of this I had to call the hotel reception and ask them to speak to the other guests about the noise. The staff responded quickly, but unfortunately the group started again around 7.00 am so I had very little sleep all night. The breakfast was very good and cooked the way I like, although I was disappointed there was no options for eggs other than scrambled as I don't eat scrambled egg and was looking forward to a fried egg with my breakfast. Overall the hotel was nice and the price was good. The food at breakfast was good and if it wasn't for the noisy guests I would of had a nice night.

Excellent location with discounted parking at the adjacent NCP carpark. Our room was spacious, quiet and very clean. Breakfast was more than adequate with a good range of hot options. Fried eggs would be a good addition. Price was lower than other similar quality competitors.

This hotel was filthy! Bedroom and bathroom dirty and kitchen/communal area unhygienic. Couldn't stay there, checked out and promised a refund, which didn't get issued.

I booked through Expedia's website, paid by debit card, and received a booking reference number. On arrival the hotel had no record of my booking and I had to make a separate booking, and so I paid twice for one room for one night. My complaint to Expedia and request for a refund has been ignored. Why?

Another perfectly pleasant stay in this hotel. It’s not luxurious but everything’s clean and functional. The room was warm and comfortable. Good breakfast. No complaints at all from me.

It was -5 outside and the small radiator in room was inadequate to heat room. Fortunately a second duvet was there to sleep under. I do use the hotel frequently, it is a cheap value for money option near the station. Breakfast adequate not joyous experience.

The hotel is nice but my room was a little dirty ie the table was dirty. The room was cold and the bathroom to was cold Didn't sleep well either. In the morning had breakfast plenty to choose from from fruit,cereal and cooked breakfast this was good.

I would stay again but wouldnt do long stay .we didnt try breakfast as has we was up early due to out schedule day. Value for money was ok but u can get better for simular price we paid 52 with breakfast for 1 room .location was great for us has needed to be near pond forge .overall average hotel

Excellent modern facility with delicious full breakfast options. Staff is most helpful with directions and such. The parking is a bit awkward, so follow the hotel directions exactly and prepare online before your arrival. If driving car to hotel, the streets in the area are confusing with many one-ways and multiple roundabouts-- easy to take a wrong turn and difficult to correct. I would gladly stay there again.

Condition and general demeanour of property poor. Felt more like a hostel than a hotel. Reception area had bins overflowing rubbish and laundry in reception. Very difficult to recommend.

NEVER AGAIN
Had to change rooms three times, 1st room on 7th floor, lift broken, room not even made up so had to trek back to reception, 2nd Room in bad repair with light literally hanging from wall, 3rd room refused to move again despite shower not working and no towels and mattress badly stained. (Slept on the floor !). Offered full refund when there, but nothing received and no response to my emails.
