"We had a lovely time at the lake. Less than an hour from the city (Victoria) and felt a million miles away. So quiet and peaceful. We swam and paddled every day. The accommodation was excellent and kitchen/BBQ very well-equipped. I thought there was a hot tub and could have used one on some of those cool days (swimming in 18 degree weather). We couldn’t figure out how to make the outdoor shower not scalding hot. Those are my only complaints and I’m sure I could have messaged the host but I was...

"We had a very successful mini family reunion with our siblings and their spouses on Shawnigan Lake. The house was clean, with comfortable beds and had plenty of room for the eight of us. We loved being within walking distance of the lake and spent at least part of each day either swimming or using the stand up paddle boards and the inflatable kayak. We were blessed with beautiful weather. We also oved exploring the wonderful trails and parks around the lake. Thanks!"
