The apartment is situated on the top floor (2nd Floor) of a recently renovated Victorian gentleman’s residence dating back to 1864\. The apartment has panoramic sea views with ample off street parking. We had a marvellous 3 nights at the apartment, the accommodation was perfect for our needs: it was spacious, comfortable, clean and had everything we needed including charging cables by the beds! The view was breathtaking, as was the walk back up from town! (Actually it wasn’t as bad as we feared!)Recommend the Fisherman’s Cottage for dinner right on the beach. The Crab Shed at Steephill Bay, a 20 minute costal walk from Ventnor was also a highlight.The sun shone all week, as I say they thought of everything! The apartment is described accurately and photos give a true vision We used the bus service and the car to get around. We went to the theatre and a couple of the local pubs for lovely meals. We found a lot of shops were closed and Shanklin was quite in need of some tlc, but this didn't spoil our trip. It is up a steep hill so we didn't walk down to Shanklin very often but it is a good base to visit the Island. The view from the second floor apartment is stunning.
