Although it is close to National Convention Center in Shanghai, there is few options of restaurants and shopping that is possible go wlaking.

Very nice mattress and bathroom was larger than my room back home. Buffet breakfast was great and even to go packing for later enjoying of buffet. Great persons everywhere in hotel. Nice all around.

Very close to the fair , don’t trust the hotel free shuttle bus to the fair , they just drop you some place around the fair where is much more far then you walk to fair! Terrible! Too much small flyers ！

Howard Johnsson AirPort hotel

Stort fint hotell, tyvärr så röktes det här och var trots att hotellet skulle vara rökfritt. Men vi fick byta rum direkt när vi talade om att det luktade rök. Trevlig personal som gjorde det allra bästa för att hjälpa oss trots att en del inte pratade engelska. Vi kanske inte hade läst ordentligt men vi var inte medvetna om att depositionen skulle kosta då mycket. Överlag så rekommenderar jag hotellet 😊

The hotel is very nice, the rooms are big and breakfast is good. The service was a little bit slow but not out of the ordinary. One thing that was not so nice is that the hotel room although it was non-smoking smelled heavily like cigarettes. I am quite sensitive about that and this was not pleasant.

Good experience

The hotel is near to Hongqiao airport and Railway station, you have to take taxi or review the times at hotel bus pass here, and to take train to go to city you can take it. This rooms are goods, clean and comfortable.

This place was miserable. The internet cut out every five or ten minutes. The refrigerator barely lowered drinks below room temperature. The "gym" had a few home-level pieces of equipment that were either broken or severely run down. The service was generally indifferent at best. While the cable guide says there are several english language stations, there really aren't. Not even news stations. Several of the venues like the second floor bar and restaurant were closed all three days I was there without explanation. The location is awful. It is facing an elevated highway (actually it is very nearly under the highway) and there is nothing nearby. While it looks to be close to the convention center, it is impossible to walk there because there is no way over the river without walking along the highway.

Very nice, clean and no mold or smoke smell

I was concerned as I had read reviews of other on the smell of mold in the room. I am not sure if I got a good room or if they had replaced the carpets, but the room didn't smell like mold or smoke, which is rare. I didn't have a sinus headache the whole time. Overall it is comfortable, breakfast is good and the staff is great. I was there during the cold season and the room was nice and warm. One major issue is that the Wi-Fi signal is unusable. The internet is good and decent speed, but the signal is in and out. If you plug into the wired connection behind the desk, it is fine. I used a small portable router that I carry with me while travelling that covers the room, so for me it was fine.

Big name hotel but not so great features

Shower experience is a mess; water gets out everywhere during shower because the glass door didn't seal water completely plus the water drainage didn't work properly on the outside shower area. Room lighting feels dark. Overall, the hotel seems a bit run down even with the Howard Johnson name. Perhaps, it explained the lower price.

Ok to sleep but not much more...

Average hotel with poor service in bar and western restaurang. Rooms smelled from smoking even if they we're no smoking and wifi in the rooms was just not to be found, but free :). Some kind of very slow connection could be found in the lobby even if a single web page took like 4 min to load. If you'd like to stay close to the airport and get shuttle service there and no other expectations around the experience it could be worth the money if you get a good deal. Ok cleaned in important areas like bed and bathroom, though.
