The night duty manager was very helpful during my 1st night checked in. We had problem with aircon in our room and upon noticing that my wife and me were exhausted after long journey to shanghai, she immediately check for other available room. We were given an immediate replacement of room. Im grateful to her as we stayed in the hotel for 8 nights. I will definitely go back to stay in Yangtze for my next trip to Shanghai. The breakfast could be improve further though.

Gem of a hotel
Loved this hotel. Real character, excellent location, very comfy bed and great service, can’t complement the staff enough for their service and the robot room service bringing ice - amazing! It is indicative of the sense of style and eye for detail that the robo- server was dressed in a traditional Chinese waistcoat! But the best of all- what a bathtub- luxurious wallowing! If I had to add a criticism the rooms were a little overheated and the air on didn’t seem to regulate - but easily solved by opening the windows and turning off the ac!

This unique pale building was built in 1933, decorated with magnificent decorative pattern and Shanghai local culture elements as well. Lovely weekend at Yangtze
Everything was perfect in every way. We booked based on a missinformation on the website and staff managed to have us into the expected experience anyway.

Very good location. I was given an upgrade and the room was beautiful and spacious. only grouse was the food served at the cafe. Had breakfast there for 4 days and it wasnt good.

Besides the fantastic location smack in the city centre and train station, the hotel condition and staff service is of top notch quality. I didn't know that they are no longer managed under the Langham brand, but this local brand is also upkeeping its reputation from the former Langham. I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone who has the additional budget to spare. However, pls note that there is no private drop off area, you can request the concierge to hail a cab for you or you can also hail a cab/car from Didi, they can stop right across the hotel for pick -up and drop-off. I would like to give my gratitude to the hotel staffs; Alan & Leo for their great assistance.

Excellent service and friendly staff willing to help with booking the city sightseeing bus tickets and guiding us to the bus stop. They also helped with double checking our flight details in the chinese language website to make sure we went to the right airport terminal. Both the bedroom and the bathroom are big in size and are incredibly clean. The best in cleanliness out of all the hotels I’ve visited. The only thing that was surprising when we arrived was that there was no taxi parking area directly in front of the hotel, so we had to get out of the taxi and cross the street to reach the hotel lobby. The hotel staff was quick to cross the street and help with our luggage though so it wasn’t much an issue.

convenient with the metro on the same street of the hotel. Really centrally locates. You can walk to the Shanghai museum and also to the Bund. Nanjing street is a block away. Service was superb. Our concierges went out their way to help arrange transportation and guided us to the best place to visit. Ray was superb in helping. He actually went with us to the Jan our cruise made sure we got tickets and waited for us when we got off. What service !!!! Allen also helped tremendously. He mapped out our every move for us. Thanks you both.

Property is located very near to exit 14 of People Square Station and is near a shopping mall and convenience stores. Staff is very helpful . There are turndown service at night. Room is spacious and comfortable

They gave us a wrong room type which was cheaper than i paid. They also lie us about the room type and i asked for the refund but they refused. They just offered free breakfast and extra bed for compensation which was very worthless because i planned to eat outside with my friends. Wont come to this hotel again! Bad experience

I booked shanghai grand room but they gave me the wrong room which was smaller and cheaper than i paid. They just said the rooms were full and can't offer anything else except free breakfast and extra bed. It was very unfair to customer since i plan to eat outside that were more delicious. So they had no responsibility to their fault. Very disappointed with this hotel and better try other hotels nearby.

I liked the hotel.breakfast was pricy.there are 2 restaurants very close that have good brealfast .i liked the shopping centers all around.i ate at the food court most of the time,being alone.took the big bus tour,and the city tour from the radison blu.loved going to pudong island,and seeing the great buildings.shanghi is a beautiful,modern city.great pastries everywhere.

I got first a room on the fifth floor, it was smelling very much of smoke, also the corridor, even though the hotel is a non smoking hotel. I asked to change the room, which I could do immediately. Excellent staff, perfect service. The position is very good. A lots of Shoppingmalls, Restaurants etc just around the corner. I would choose this hotel again for my next stay in Shanghai.

In a decent location, not far from a large pedestrian shopping area. Hotel room was clean and comfortable, but somehow the hotel feels like it was once nicer and more high-end than it is now. Restaurant/bar area was deserted (so it felt odd to be the only 2 people there), yet service was not very attentive there. Front desk and door staff were friendly and accommodating, however. It is more of a "no frills" hotel, but safe and comfortable and quiet for a night or two.
