I love the convenience of this hotel. Very close to the Skyscraper Center. The brunch is amazing, you can find a variety of western food and Asian food as well. The rooms are spacious and super clean! I

Great hotel
Easy and quick check in which is greatly appreciated after a long flight from the US. The room temperature was warmer than i prefer.

Our room was clean and the condition of room was great. Service was prompt when we made request. We had room service during our stay and the food was good. The location of the hotel was convenient for us as we could walk to Yu Garden as well as Nanjing Road and The Bund. There are many eateries around the area as well.

Stay here, it's great
This hotel was the best hotel I have ever stayed at in my 80 year long life. Totally amazing, beautiful, great room amenities, great service, great everything, including location. The view from the 22 floor, looking out on two sides of the building, was breathtaking. I should also say that the price was so low that I was anxious as to whether we had made a mistake booking here. I felt that I should have paid a lot more than I did, it was that great. You get the idea, yes?

Unfortunately had a very poor experience at this hotel. We were staying for a single night in Shanghai before moving on to further travels so our time was very limited. When we turned up the hotel was busy due to alot of guests staying for the Shanghai marathon the following morning which we weren't aware of Check in took ONE HOUR. Our rooms had been given away due to overbooking, reception staff could not articulate due to the language barrier so just left us waiting and waiting. Once the rooms were sorted out, the card machine then didn't work and staff kept us another 15/20 minutes trying to take a payment. All in all check in was terrible! My room was good but that was mainly due to being upgraded after having no spare rooms to put me in. My colleagues room however smelt of smoke and she had to move. We did not use any of the facilities at the hotel so cannot comment on these. Before we finally went to bed that evening we asked reception for some further information on the marathon the next day and would any road closures effect our route to the airport. Despite the marathon starting outside the hotel, nobody could provide us with this information so in the end we got up and left early to be on the safe side. Terrible service, unhelpful staff and a very rude manager who did not want to help us in anyway.

While the hotel is well located and you can walk everywhere easily, the rooms are a bit dated. Our biggest frustration was the fact that inside the room are air conditioning temperature controllers that might appear to lower or raise your room temperature, where in fact they do nothing at all and your room temperature is governed by the hotel Central air conditioning system which in our case was set at 24 degrees C, making the room feel stuffy. We raised our issue many times with nothing done (except for a note left saying something like, “our engineer checked your room air conditioning and it works ok with room temperature set at 24 degrees.” We won’t stay here again.

The Westin Bund Center, Shanghai, is in a great location. It was within 10-15 walk to the Bund waterfront (iconic and picturesque waterfront of Shanghai), Shanghai Old Town (shopping and night market) & Yu Garden (historical home and garden), Nanjing Street (shopping and eateries), Shanghai Museum and Yu Garden subway station. Although the hotel was in a nice and safe neighborhood, with a good amount of tourist traffic, it was not far from local neighborhood for the authentic vibe (and eats). Rooms were clean, quiet and stocked with bottle water (because you do not drink Shanghai's tap water), it was perfect for crashing after a long day of play.

Everything about the hotel and staff was excellent. The buffet breakfast is varied and delicious, the rooms are clean and comfortable, and the staff is helpful and friendly. The only thing that could be improved upon is the long wait at check-in. The check-in procedure was very lengthy and the queue at the check-in counter was long.

Westin Bund Shanghai a great property in a fantastic location a short stroll away from the Bund. The front desk team was super friendly and super accommodating, thank you so much fora great experience. The room was well appointed and the breakfast buffet amazing! FABULOUS! Everything was just as perfect as one could wish. All the staff is super friendly and very professional. The consierge in particular. The food is excellent and with variety. The gym is well equipped and very clean. The decor is welcoming. At times i didn’t want to leave my room it was so comfortable Location is ideal, a short walk from 2 major subway station (which connect with both the airport and the train station), from people's square and from the waterfront. And with the crown on top of the building, one can always find their way home! This is the place to be when in Shanghai!

Hotel is about 10 minutes walk from metro. Renovation and furnitures are bit old but clean. Staff service worth 5 stars rating. Fast response setting up extra bed with no extra cost. Birthday cake surprise makes our stay perfect. Thank you !
