You get what you pay for. These hotel apartments are excellent value given their location and space, but everything is a little tired inside and the kitchen doesn’t have any equipment in it, except for two mugs and two small glassesAnd there isn’t a microwave. So if you want to cook something, you need to buy a pot or pan, utensils, washing up liquid et cete and there isn’t a microwave. 1. When I checked in , give me the room air condition was broken, it was 110 F hot weather in Shanghai, till next day afternoon, changed my room. 2. The hotel equipped with washer, but now water hose with it, so I still couldn’t use it. 3. Living room sofas are very dirty. 4. I couldn’t stay there, I backed home 4 days earlier then I booked this hotel. I suppose back at Aug. 5, but I back on Aug. 1, will not book this hotel again.

Rooms are a little dark. Not too much lighting. Small but comfortable. Bed is a little hard. Staff aren’t extremely helpful but try.

Great location, great staff, great gym, great pool
Really affordable hotel in a great location, if you speak a bit of Chinese you will find all the staff are very friendly and helpful. If you don’t speak Chinese there is always someone on reception that speaks English and they are also helpful. The room is small if you get a standard room but I didn’t spend much time in it so it didn’t matter to me. Fast laundry service and everything you need is on the doorstep with shopping, restaurants and a subway to go anywhere all within a 5 minute walk.

We stayed in a suite with separate lounge and separate kitchen. Large room and plenty of space. Balcony. Rooms are tired and need upgrading. The kitchen had fridge, dishwasher and cooker but nothing else. The cupboards were bare. Only two cups, two tea bags and an electric jug. No spoons, cutlery, crockery or cooking untensils. No cleaning materials

Would not recommend. There are bed bugs. We woke up to bites. The washroom plumbing does not work well. Toilet does not flush sometimes. They kept only giving us one towel and when we asked for a second one they didn't give us a second water bottle. The wifi is slow and does not work sometimes.

For the price it’s a great hotel. The room smelled a little but I think it had to do with the water. Room was very clean with excellent views! Size wise it wasn’t bad. There is a bus stop around the block and the metro is about a block and a half from the hotel. About a 5 minute walk.

Dog excrement in the reception counter
It was a bad experience I will complain because I want my money back. There was dog excrement in the reception counter and unfortunately I passed my baggage over it accidentally. The room was very dusty and in the mornings the smoke of the near room enters smelling like cooking very strong odor, very old facilities but I don't care about it I care about how dirty it was, need my money back. Staff cannot speak English.

I especially appreciate: - the central lication - the superb fitness club and swimming pool - the washing machine available in the bathroom (though strangely at a extra charge for water connection) My main issue : the weak /unreliable internet access does not allow a professional use

It was ok... Staff didn't speak much english but they tried their best and were still really helpful. When our train tickets seemingly hadn't arrived yet they called the service for us to sort it out. Mostly it needs a deep cleaning! The room appeared clean, except the bathroom area especially around the toilet.WiFi only let one device connect at a time. And there was no space to move around, the bed took it all up and was rock hard. We brought our own pillows and were pleased with that decision. The pros- quiet! Didn't hear anyone else in the room. Within 10-15 minutes walk of metro, close to French concession area, and about 5 minutes to find tastey street food. We didn't try their restaurant and didn't find the pool; based on expedias price for breakfast we were afraid how much dinner would be. There's lots of food options nearby if you can read their posted menus. Otherwise it's surrounded by malls with more traditional restaurants and larger prices. I liked the location, and the staff. Otherwise it served its purpose. We'd stay again if we needed to, but if we come back to Shanghai I think I'd check out other options first.

The Worst Hotel in China
You should never stay at this hotel. Extremely dirty place with lazy, unresponsive staff. Air Conditioner in my room broke twice during my trip. Cleaners forgot to clean my room on several days, even after I told the reception to have them clean the room. They never replaced things in the room unless specifically asked. Many of the towels and sheets have tears and stains in them. When I arrived in the room, I found it to be very dusty and dirty and needed to clean it myself. The toilet clogged on three separated days of the trip. I've stayed in hotels around the world, and I can say with confidence that this one is the worst I have ever had the misfortune of experiencing.
