Definitely worth the money
Hotel is very near subway station which is around 30 meters from the hotel backdoor. Room is quite clean. However, there are no convenience stores or coffee shops nearby.

Room amenities were adequate, except for shaver which the cleaning staff said they don't provide. Cleaning staff took initiative to replace the toothbrush every day.

This hotel is located at a very convenient location for going anywhere in Shanghai. It is recently renovated with new designs and furniture. The restaurant on the 4th floor serves great authentic Chinese food with reasonable prices. There is no microwave in the room.

Teaching at Fudan University Medical School for 3 weeks. Excellent location. Undergoing major renovations so quiet comfortable lobby are was lost due to construction during my second week there. Plan to make this my preferred hotel when in Shanghai because of Metro access and location.

Nice service at the front desk. The room was clean and it was close to the metro subway, very convenient. There were some kind of building service going in right in the front of entrance and I paid for city view price but a couple ropes were also in the front across of my windows.

Convenient location
The restaurant within the hotel on the 4th floor serves excellent authentic Chinese dishes with very reasonable prices. Subway trains are steps away outside the hotel. The interior of the hotel including rooms are clean but shows aging and in need of refreshing.

Nice hotel to stay in center of Shanghai
I have a good time in Shanghai with a wonderful hotel to stay in. It is convenient to transport inside the city since the subway station is just beside the hotel. Less then 10 minutes to get on the subway train at any time. The hotel is very clean and the service is perfect. Will choose it again for my next trip in Shanghai.

Very Bad Experience, here's the pros and cons Cons: - Staff doesn't speak English very well. Actually at 3 year old level. - Very hard beds - Tried to shorten trip, contacted them 3 times and due to difficulties they charged me for the last night we didn't stay - Charged for coffee that I made my self with coffee that was sitting on top of counter without any indication they would. - Key stopped working and it took 30 minutes to fix - Took 20 minutes to check out while they checked our room to make sure we didn't steal anything. - Overall horrible Pros: - Clean rooms

Clean room that had too much heat.
The room was too hot, and the windows could not be opened far enough to cool the room. The circuit for the tv and coffee maker blew out. I told the front desk, no repair was made. The bed was comfortable, and the room was very clean. If you need access to the Fudan University's hospitals, it is a short walk away. And, the subway exit is right next to the hotel.

We stayed there from 3/11 to 3/18 and are extremely happy with the location of the hotel. The subway entrance is right next to the hotel and very easy to access everywhere we wanted to go. There are also banks near by the hotel which helps a lot to manage business. The room is clean (although the room furniture is old), especially the beds are very firm and comfortable and they change the bed sheets everyday, (love it). The service is acceptable as I speak the local language. The only drawback is that the water pressure in the shower is not strong enough, also the water in the bath room sink and bath tub does not drain fast enough to empty the tub and sink, otherwise I would rate it a "5" for the price we paid for.

Old school hotel, smelling it's age.
Shower rooms needs improvement, if this establishment purports to be above 3 stars, they need to drop the shower curtains. Non smoking rooms reaked with tobacco and smoke. Staff tried to convince us otherwise and tried to keep us in the smoking room. The rest of te room was fine.

Highly Recommend This Hotel
My hotel stay was very good, the desk staff was courteous and helpful. The rooms are comfortable, HD TV, desk, couch and chair. Beautiful big picture windows. My only wish was that the bed would have been more comfortable. The mattress was hard as a rock, and did not lend itself to me having a comfortable nights sleep. The food was good, especially the breakfast buffet, and the hotel is an exceptional value for the cost. The room was very clean and the hotel is next to a Metro station making it very convienient to get around

A good hotel at a convenient location
The large room facing main street (ZhaoJiaBang road) is noisy. You have to expect their service level is lower than we take granted in the States. Some of their facilities may not work properly. During my staying, there were a couple occations when the internet does not work.

This hotel located in the cornoer of a famous street, though it is very quiet inside. 3 minute walk to sub way station and serveral line of public bus stop. from here you can reach most famous attraction by sub way,, or take a taxi for 20-or 70 RMB,, The room is big,fresh, bed is very comfortable.compatible with 5 star hotel, the set lunch is tasty and good price.the service I like is We can store one luggage in the hotel and go for another trip for more than 10 days. it is very convenience for traveler.

Excellent hotel. English was a little problem with a hotel staff on a couple of occasions, but this is perfectly understandable. However, for 4 of 8 days of our stay there, internet did not work and this was a problem for me. Otherwise, as I said this is an excellent hotel.

Good for a short stay
It has a subway station right on the entrance, so it's easy to get anywhere in shanghai from there. They don't have wifi on the rooms, but they were nice enough to setup a router in my room. The rock-like bed is the only complaint

Near to Metro, very comfortable and cosy hotel
The hotel is absolutely comfortable and very affordable too. Definitely worth the money. The best part is that it is very near to the metro station, just beside their back door. However, the hotel's location is at Pu Xi so heading to Pudong requires some time for the distance but it is not very far if you take the metro. The manager and the house-keeping staff were very friendly and helpful.

I found a good rate on hotels.com ($56 for a Deluxe Room), so was pretty satisfied for what I paid. I would say the Jinjiang Pine City is best classified as a business hotel, but it's a step above budget chains such as Greentree Inn, Hanting Express, etc., for not that much more cost if you score a good deal. Service is a bit indifferent, but I didn't encounter rudeness. The room was a good size. The bathroom was small by newer hotel standards, and with a tub rather than shower stall. One thing that freaked me out: The bathrobes in the closet are hung in a cloth cover and one of the covers was absolutely filthy with big yellow stains, etc. I can't believe housekeeping could see that and think that it's acceptable. Can't really fault the location since I've been to Shanghai numerous times and knew exactly where the hotel was located, which is within walking proximity to the western part of the french concession. If you're a tourist and wish to be near the Bund, which is not a particularly exciting/happening area, then please do your research and choose a hotel near there!

There are activities but they are only open to visiting senior citizens throughout the day. Also do not believe the hype about buffet or airport shuttle. Also furniture in the nice rooms is old and could use a little work. The Internet does not work.

The room was large and included a bathtub. The hotel seems to be a bit dated which is fine but it is kept in good condition with very minimal wear for what I imagine to be a hotel getting close to 30 years old. You will notice the age with the non flat screen t.v. and the radio built into the night stand along with the general wood decor. Not a bad location if you are considering using the metro because one exit is in the parking lot but there is nothing of value besides a convince store for a 10 min walk surrounding it.

The hotel is clean and located near a metro station. It is kind of far away from the center of the city. I stayed here many times since I spent most of my time visiting friends who live near the hotel. It is a good hotel to stay if most of your activity is near the hotel.

First, when I arrived Jin Jiaing Pine city hotel, I gave the the lady in the front desk my confirmation number. She was very rude said to me "What is this?" I told her that I have reserved this hotel and that was my confirmation number. She stared at me with a very unfriendly manner asked " what is your name?" I was very shocked by her attitude. The over all experience in Jin Jianing Pine city hotel was OK, and I like the convenience of the location: it has coffee shop, 7-11, and subway in a very short distance.
