Despite the convenient location, it’s surrounded by green space in a park like environment, truly an oasis in the middle of large busy city. The staff is extremely polite, professional, and attentive. The rooms are classic, spacious, and large. The only slight disappointment the hotel restaurant, Xin yuan Lou. After a few days of staying, I developed a rash and cough. But the hotel management's subsequent excuse was: "The humidity in Shanghai is high and the weather is hot, which is normal for this time of year." They completely shirked their responsibility for routine maintenance.
