Having a kitchenette to cook when we want, the ability to do laundry in suite and the living room area are all a plus. There is a Family Mart and Starbucks just outside, and dianping cart around the corner on weekdays, plus a corner stand with fresh fruit and vegetables only one block away. There’s also an import grocery across the street. Also, reasonable and legitimate massages at Bamboo 7 within 4 minutes walking!! The units are clean and staff checks in daily. Good size bedroom and they use good quality kitchen utensils and appliances. The apartment itself is maintained in good condition. Not so good—the amenities; I suspect they are not under the same management company as the apartment itself. If you want an international place in Shaghai and do not spend a lot of money having a quite of life quality, this place is great! The room I booked was like an apartment, with kitchen, laundry, 2 bedrooms, living room and a good space for up to 4 people. The gym is really very good and on the same level is located a small community library where you can read several books. The breakfast is normal and not so lush, but enough for a business trip or for a few days in Shanghai. I suspect that not all rooms are sold as hotel rooms, and that a number are regular apartments. It is appointed accordingly: the apartment is vast and efficient, albeit not plushy. Still, comfortable bed. The only points that would need to be improved in my opinion are: 1- It can be difficult to reach. Taxi drivers are not familiar with this address, and the Chinese name of the hotel is pretty different from its English name. 2- The air conditioning was not turned on. It may be good for the environment, but unfortunately it took a long time to cool down an otherwise overheated apartment to an acceptable temperature. Perhaps something can be done for this. 3- The place where breakfast is served is a bit small for the size of the place. It was tasty though, so quality-wise I am satisfied. Is it a keeper? I think for the deal I got and the place I had to go to afterwards it made sense. And if you are a family in search of an apartment, it may also make sense, even if you will have to walk somewhat to the metro.
