Their pet fee is for the entire stay, rather than per night, so it gets more reasonable the longer you're there. Great conversation areas, excellent breakfast, gracious staff top to bottom. "My experience here was above and beyond. More than all else, the staff here deserves an award. Everyone was friendly--not in a sugary, obsequious way that makes me uncomfortable--but in the easy, breezy way of Californians that helps me feel seen as a human and not just a customer. I had a lovely conversation with Rich, the manager, and was struck by the everyday kindness of even exchanging pleasantries. It all brought a homey touch to the resort. I loved my room and roaming the beautiful property--particularly, all the intentionally designed quiet places to think. Not to mention, feeding the emus and goats. For me, this impromptu solo trip was very soul healing and I believe that this was in big part because of this place. So, thank you, Allegretto. "
