It was an exquisite wonderful hotel. The room was excellent and bed was heaven! And the hotel was located right were we wanted to be, souvenir shops, food, supermarket etc....Breakfast was great and many choices with everything, the bar was great, the quality of the food in the restaurant was high quality..Everything was clean and service was excellen.Pretty great overall, staff was amazing Fabulous place in a great location

The beach and the location of the hotel is good; besides that the food is terrible, the check-in experience was terrible, the hotel needs much repair/maintenance (tv turns on and off on its own, shower releases hot and cold water interchangeably when taking a shower, etc).

The property was very clean. The staff was excellent. The breakfast was delicious with many options. The hotel is right on the beach. It was just a wonderful experience! I highly recommend this hotel.

Beautiful beach, great staff, decent buffet breakfast, don’t eat at the ocean deck or the sushi place, tend to run out of towels in the afternoon at the pool. Would consider staying here again. Best beach view in Beau Vallon. Lots of good places to eat nearby and small supermarkets. Area is very walkable and safe.

We had the best holiday. The hotel is right on the beach and also has a pool. We stayed on an half board basis so had to buy water which was expensive. Food is great each night was a different theme in the buffet. You also have the option to eat in the sushi and Indian restaurants on site.

Good and Awesome hote,. It was the second stay.
It was the second stay since 2014. The staff was always gentle and kind too much. Explain all things about the hotel and environments of Seychelles. The wedding ceremony was held on it Saturday. The parking lot was too crowded, but the staff of the parking place helped me kindly. The room has some smells like burnt Indian scent sticks. But Location, Price, and Kindness could cover that smell. The breakfast in the Buffet restaurant was good. I strongly recommend this hotel. I will use it again when I revisit it.

The staff at reception was not friendly at all. they disactivated our keys due to a problem with the payment. our room had very limited view of the seaside and had a strong smell of paint. other than that the service & say was ok

Proximity to beach and nearby restaurants is a plus. Hotel has to provide reserved room type. I reserved sea view room but was initially offered a room without it. Had to refuse the offered room to be assigned a sea view room. It is no fun when you have to wait over an hour until the room is ready. That is very frustrating especially after long hours of flight.

Smart Choice
I was a bit worried after reading some of the reviews, but the reality was a pleasant surprise. The hotel is from the 1970s, I didn't expect that everything is new. It is not, but it seems to be continuously repaired and updated. Our ocean-view room was spacious, recently painted with a well-working A/C, new furniture, a fridge, and a new model of LG TV. The beds were comfortable. Room service as well as all the staff was excellent. The location can't be beaten - we have traveled around the island and couldn't find a better one. The breakfast and dinner were very good. The hotel (similar to some other real estate in Seychelles) is owned by Russians and the clientele is partly Russian, too.

This large beach resort is in a great location on a beautiful beach. There hotel has three restaurants including a terrific buffet breakfast and there are several beautiful restaurants on the beach only a few minutes walk away. The rooms and lobby are run down and need a renovation badly. Is still a good value because is the location.

Many reviews have said it and I’ll say it also. Location is awesome breakfast is great but the hotel could use a little tune up. Not much but a little facelift. Had no problem getting beach chairs everyday. Great holiday.

This hotel is 45 years old and looks every inch it’s age. Should be knocked down and rebuilt. Rooms less than basic. Terrible bathroom facilities with chipped tiles and totally outdated shower. We had upgraded so would not like to see basic. Cooked Breakfast inedible. Tried to book elsewhere but all other hotels booked up.

Hotel is too old and the equipment is old as well. They need to renovate the hotel. The price is high according to what they offer. Hygiene is poor.

Excellent location, near the beach, good breakfast with sea view. You can ask for an early breakfast package if you should go out before breakfast at the normal time. After check out they let us use hotel facilities like the pool and parking lot and they let us use the shower and changing room before going to the airport. The only negative point: Super slow check-in process. We wait til 14:40!!!!

The Coral Strand is ideally located on Beau Vallon Beach and is probably the best located hotel on the island. It is however very dated and needs a major investment in order to update the rooms and facilities. This however is reflected in the price and represents excellent value for money relative to other hotels on the island. The staff were very good as was the food both at breakfast and in the evening. Located nearby was a range of street food sellers offering wonderful food at cheap prices. Worth staying at especially if on a tight budget.

Is advertised as a 4 star but really is 2 star with no customer service. All other hotels gave us a welcome drink this one didn't. Hotel was built in 70s and decor in room was still the same. I asked several times for a late check out and was happy to pay for it. They wouldn't give an answer until last morning which was no.Then argued that check out time was 10 am rather than 11am that I booked. Eventually agreed to give us till 12. Is lots of choice at breakfast.

Rubbish hotel on Amazing Beach
The only thing positive about this hotel was the location on the most beautiful beach. Check in was scheduled at 2pm but at 3pm at least 5 other rooms plus mine were still not ready until asking for the manager then suddenly it was ready. If you want a chair on the beach, you best put a towel on it to claim it for the day before 8am as there aren’t nearly enough. The hotel restaurant requires payment for each order with no option to charge to your room which is not explained at check in and very odd. It seems that most guests here are smokers and they literally smoke everywhere…the beach, restaurant, pool, lobby, rooms, you name it! The room walls are so thin the smoke even comes into the room. Lastly, the shower was so tiny you could barely turn around in it while the door was closed. This is really a shame considering the absolute amazing location and staff!

The property does not look like pictures at all. It is very old hotel and the food is terrible. We also had to prolong the stay because of testing positive. While being isolated in the room, the reception service was not the best. They were very dismissive and slow.

After complain about cleaness, hygiene, signs of moisture and bad smell in the room we got 2 times room change to reach finally to a better condition. Food extra expensive compare to the presented quality and quantity . The hotel reach the the maximum of use . A renovation must take place to keep enjoying the location witch is one of the best in Mahé.
