Just a short walk (under ½ mile!) to the stunning Lost Lake trailhead—a favorite for hikers and mountain bikers—you’ll be surrounded by tall trees and fresh mountain air. Though it feels like a retreat, you're only 4 miles from the harbor and 5 miles from downtown Seward. Our tiny house is a one-of-a-kind, cozy retreat designed for comfort and simplicity. Newly remodeled, it features a beautiful tile shower with a rainfall showerhead—bringing a touch of luxury to your stay in the woods. The bunk setup includes a full-size bed on the bottom and a twin on top, sleeping up to 3 guests. While we welcome small groups, the space is best enjoyed by 2 adults or 2 adults and a child for maximum comfort. The well-equipped kitchenette includes a stove, coffee maker, toaster oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, and all the basic cookware and utensils you’ll need for easy meals. We use a high-quality composting toilet that works much like a regular one—just with a small twist: everyone sits, every time. It’s clean, eco-friendly, and easy to use. A wall heater keeps the space warm and comfortable, no matter the season. Outside, you’ll find a private firepit, perfect for unwinding under the trees and enjoying quiet evenings by the flames. Also feel free to bring your pup - we are pet friendly! This cozy hideaway is the perfect base for your Alaskan adventure! We had to leave early due to it. The compost toilet is a little odd and drops when you sit on it. Everyone has to sit to use it. The bunk beds need to be tightened and make a lot of noise. The owners are great at communicating. Their guest instructions are easy to understand and explain the uniqueness of the property. My family loved the stay. It is small and that is great just. It is close to lost lake trailhead and we were able to walk there to do some hiking as well. Easy drive into town, out of the fray when there. Cozy for two. Might be a little crowded for three. Good communication with host. My husband and I traveled down to Seward for a weekend getaway and found this adorable place to stay. It’s just outside of the city but SUPER easy to get back to all the shops. VERY quiet and well thought out. It has everything anyone would need. Nice shower, TV, three places to sleep and great views of the foliage. Overall, we would stay here again. Sara was fantastic and all the info was on time and correct for check in and check out was a breeze and she responded quickly. This is the way to go if you are staying in Seward! ##### Ben M. We really appreciated they accept pets for a small fee. Only downside was a smoker had been in the Apt before us, and our clothes/belongings smelled of smoke for two days after. ##### Richard C. I loved it and highly recommend I so appreciate a place that allowed our 2 dogs. It is impossible to find a place that takes pets, yet it is spotless clean and neat. Easy, convenient parking. I only wished we had booked for more nights in this place only a few miles outside of Seward, yet totally in the woods away from everything. I loved it. ##### Dianne T.
