It was relaxing, off the beaten path, in a quiet area, with plenty of room. It was in a beautiful mountain setting just far enough from Pigeon Forge and close enough to the Great Smoky Mountains that we didn't feel like we were where all the tourists were yet could get to everything. We had everything we needed at the cabin in able for us to cook a few dinners there. We will definitely return! Thank you for a smooth check-in process. It's a very cute cabin and comfortable place to come back to after a day of exploring. Challenges at this property: They have a policy that renters clean the kitchen before they leave. While I didn't mind doing that, it appeared previous renters weren't very diligent. There were dirty oven pans in the oven when we arrived and I pulled several dirty dishes from cabinets and drawers. I just decided to wash items before using them. Other than this issue the cabin was VERY clean. The stove was a challenge to use as well. The burners do not burn evenly, producing pancakes that were barely done on one half and burnt on the other. However, I was thrilled that the kitchen was equipped with a crockpot! That was nice. Know that the wood floors are extremely noisy. If anyone is up and about its heard throughout the cabin. Lastly, the position of the living room tv is awkward and sends the volume up into the loft area. I think the owners could solve this by putting a sound bar in below, to keep it directed to the living room couches. I see these issues as relatively minor, but they were inconvenient.
