Whether you are looking to explore the nearby hiking trails and waterfalls or just hoping to cuddle by the house fire, Sloan Ridge Retreat is bound to feel like your home away as soon as you walk through the door. The location is unbeatable for those wanting to relax in nature, far enough away from neighboring cabins, while simultaneously enjoying the convenience of having anything they might need just minutes away. Access to a community swimming pool and fishing pond are included with booking. They are located off site, just a 10 minute drive from the cabin. Sloan Ridge Retreat is a 2300 square foot cedar cabin with 3 levels, each level has a bedroom, en suite bathroom, and deck. 4 Decks total! Our favorite feature are the four decks overlooking the mountain. The deck on the lower level has an outdoor hot tub, while the main level has a wrap-around deck complete with porch swing. The third one is located on the upper level and is a charming spot for watching the flickering night lights of distant cabins. The master bedroom is located on the main level and has a king-sized bed and an ensuite bath with a separate jacuzzi tub. You will find two extra bedrooms with separate bathrooms in the other two levels, as well as a loft space on the upper level that works like a fourth bedroom. Should you need to fit more guests, there is also a sofa bed in the lower level. The house is full of amenities you are free to enjoy. You can relax by the cozy gas fire during the winter or take in the view from one of the decks on a summer night. The game room on the lower level has a pool table, an air hockey table, board games, and a retro arcade game. Our cabin is fully equipped with everything you might need, including a washer/drier. The kitchen is ready to use and includes cookware, dinnerware, a coffee maker, a blender, and all the cooking essentials. Other things to note Pets are unfortunately not allowed. We love this house and hope to keep it in great shape for our guests, so no smoking or parties either. Outside fires are not allowed in the area. Please note that guests must be over 25 years old, unless accompanied by a parent, and will be responsible for any damage to the property during your stay. Guest access You will have full access to the house during your stay. Check-in is completely independent. We will provide all the instructions before check-in. Check in after 4pm and check out before 10am. Location Our cabin is situated on Sloan Ridge, facing Little Cove Gap, and has an unbelievable view of Tilda High Top Mountain. The location is unbeatable. Pigeon Forge and the entrance to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park are each just 10 minutes away by car, so you will have everything you need at your doorstep while still enjoying the feeling of being secluded. There are plenty of hiking paths nearby and scenic drives all around. Driving times: Great Smoky Mountains National Park Entrance via Lyon Springs Road: 10 minutes Wears Valley: 5 minutes Pigeon Forge: 11 minutes Dollywood: 22 minutes Gatlinburg: 24 minutes Kroger: 15 minutes Walmart: 23 minutes There is so much to do in the area! Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, and the entrance to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park are just a short drive away. There is parking for up to 4 cars right outside the house. The kitchen was fully stocked, and the game room with the pool table was a great bonus.The cabin’s views are incredible. We visited in late autumn and spent every morning on the porch watching the sun rise over the Smoky Mountain valley. The decks felt private and peaceful, and the scenery was beautiful.The location was perfect, only about 10–15 minutes to Pigeon Forge and an easy drive to Gatlinburg and Dollywood. Close to everything you’d want to do, but still quiet and secluded when you’re at the cabin.Communication with the host was excellent—very responsive and helpful. Check-in and check-out were seamless, and the Wi-Fi and TV worked perfectly, which isn’t always guaranteed in the mountains.Overall, this cabin checks all the boxes: clean, private, great views, well-equipped, comfortable, and convenient to all major attractions. The cabin was clean and spacious and the kids loved the hot tub and game room and we all loved just hanging out on the decks - eating, reading and admiring the views. The cabin is close enough to the major attractions and Ben was super communicative and helpful with recommendations. Admittedly, that first drive up to the cabin made me a bit nervous, but we got used to it pretty quick. Also, despite warning my kids they may have to actuallly read a book, the WiFi turned out to be pretty good. ##### Jennifer Y. Cabin was conveniently located with everything about 15-20 minutes away. Cabin had everything we needed for a week long stay. Teenagers enjoyed the game room and hot tub. We would definitely stay at the cabin again if we are in the area. Bonus was we also saw the local bear just walking down the road. The property is very clean. The host was very responsive with any and all questions we had. We were even able to check in a bit early which was great! I would recommend this place to anyone I talk to and would stay here again on future trips. The only thing to be mindful of that we did not realize is the pool is a public pool and gets extremely busy and crowded. Other then that great host and Cabin! ##### Ryan C. The host, Ben, was very upfront about the DO NOT go the back way to the cabin! Lol My son’s family didn’t follow instructions and learned that the hard way! For people not used to mountain driving the regular way is a bit daunting also! But we managed! We are from FL so the drive to the cabin was a little steep at first but we got used to it as we drove more through out the week. The roads were in great condition. The cabin was great.
