ACCESS: Your drive to the cabin will be one of the most beautiful in Tennessee. You'll be on paved roads almost all the way with only the last few hundred feet being gravel. The paved part of the drive will be curvy and steep in places, as it is with most cabins in the area. There is one turn on the route where a car that sits close to the ground might scrub. Please note that this cabin is in the mountains where the terrain is considered steep. NOTE: We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance to cover your stay. My review does reflect that, but there are a few items that were not mentioned that I feel needs mentioning. The cabin is very secluded, which was amazing and exactly what we were looking for. We stayed 5 days and saw bears 3 different days there. When we pulled up there was a mother and a cub just in front of the porch. One morning a lone bear scoped out the garbage container and then walked past the porch and then one evening after turning into the driveway there was a mother bear and 3 cubs walking up the drive foraging for food. We saw more bears there than in Cade's Cove! It was very nice having king beds to sleep in, but we all found the mattresses very stiff. It took me a couple days of poor sleep to get used to them. Also, the cabin is on well water, I grew up on well water so not an issue for me but there is a distinct smell/taste to it is something I think should be noted prior to booking. We purchased bottled water for drinking. The cabin is roughly this far of a drive from the main destinations: 30 min to Pigeon Forge, 45 min to Gatlinburg, 25 min to Cade's Cove, 75 min to Clingman's Dome. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and had a great time exploring the Smokys! ##### Dustin C. It was just what we were looking for! The cabin was clean, adorably furnished, and stocked with everything we needed. There was also a great informational guide to local eateries and attractions.
