Nauvoo Haus is secluded but centrally located to the top attractions in the area: Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Dollywood, Pigeon Forge, The Island, & Gatlinburg. It's all so close but the cabin is still private on our little mountain ridge. Our cabin offers a cozy living space with two upstairs master suites with full en suite bathrooms, a large living room with a sleeper sofa, a fully stocked kitchen, a fire place, & a huge deck with amazing views of Mt LeConte, steamy hot tub, & fire pit. If you have a second furry friend you would like to bring, message me before booking. Depending on the breed, I may make an exception for an additional fee. Please contact me. Bringing your pet means you agree to the following: PET RULES: 1\. Absolutely no dogs on any furniture. 2\. The dog MUST be crated when/if left alone. 3\. You will need to clean up after your pet both inside the cabin (hair) and outside. This is not part of the cleaning service. 4\. Any and all damage done by your dog will be billed to and paid for by you. \--------------------------------------------------- • NO SMOKING. NO EXCEPTIONS. • NO PARTIES. NO EXCEPTIONS. \--------------------------------------------------- • Booking guests must be at least 23 years of age. Third party bookings are not allowed on VRBO and will not be accepted. \--------------------------------------------------- OTHER DETAILS TO KNOW: • This cabin is best suited for 6-8 adults max, couples, one family, or two families with small children for a total of 10 guests. 10 adults would likely not be comfortable due to sleeping arrangements in only three rooms and two bathrooms. • BYO firewood, charcoal, and matches. • Sneaking a cat in or an unauthorized dog or other pet will result in a $200 fee. • This cabin has a shared driveway with another cabin. • This is a brand new cabin and area and as such, no WiFi is offered because no internet services are available in the area. Cell service is great though. • It's not uncommon to encounter wildlife in the mountains. There have been visits from deer, bear, and turkeys. • Quiet hours are from 10pm-8am. Please respect this or you'll be asked to vacate. • We do not offer refunds for weather related incidents. Please purchase travel insurance. • The entrance road is steep and curvy, but paved - like most mountain roads in the area - our little Honda handles it like a champ! Drive it once and you'll realize it's a breeze. You will drive about 1/8 of a mile on a gravel road. 4x4 is recommended in snowy weather. • Because this is the mountains, there will be bugs and other creatures. My only complaint and I got used to it was the first day going up those roads . At one point I thought I was going to fall over the cliff. After the first day it was fun driving up those hilly roads. The house lacks some maintenance inside and outside. The hot tub breaker was off when we got there, so the pump was not running. It was out of chlorine. It did not feel clean and sanitary. It was pretty beat up from use. The fire pit area is dangerous with missing logs and exposed rebar sticking up. It is not as depicted in the photos. ##### John E. It had very comfortable beds and living room seating, and everything was clean! I’m also always cautious about cleanliness ratings actually being accurate, but this cabin was very clean and it had absolutely anything you’d need. I appreciated that it wasn’t overly decorated with things everywhere, as too much can feel cluttered and dusty. The minimal - but beautiful - decor was the perfect touch. Contact with the host was excellent and she provided very detailed information for check in and other helpful information. If you’re not used to staying up in the mountains, the drive can be a little scary at first, but it’s normal and you get used to it after the first time, I promise! We would definitely stay here again! We even named the moose - Merle! ##### Anna M. Perfect location with easy access to Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg and the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. Cabin is newer and spacious, as described. We had everything we needed for comfort. We were so excited when we got there but did find some hiccups along the way. Communication with the host had been fast and efficient, but it was more the cleanliness of the house. First, there was still trash present around the fire pit upon arrival from previous guest, including wrappers and drink bottles. Second, the hot tub which my husband was so excited for and in the listings states its drained and recleaned between guest. Awesome! Well, we couldn’t use it night one because the heat was never turned back on. Which okay no biggies we will use it night two, and do what the host recommends keep the jets off and cover closed to speed the heating process. Night two, we open it and it’s hot which is great! However, there’s a thick layer of dirt and leaves on the bottom and the water is grey with thick white debris floating around, we immediately got out! Third, we were out walking next to the grill and tripped over exposed rebar present. In the end the inside of the house was beautiful, the host definitely took time in wanting to make it seem like a place away from home for people. Just very disappointed in some of the amenities offered and other cleanliness factors. With all that said we did end up leaving an entire day early due to these things.
