It’s on the third (top) floor accessible by stairs. Please note, and as can be read in the press, Seven Mile Beach has been suffering a serious erosion problem for several years. The entire southern end of Seven Mile where the condo is situated is affected. We do however have a year round small sandy cove at Plantation facing directly onto the ocean with ocean access for snorkeling and swimming. But, if beaches are your passion, you may want to look at resorts north of here. The condo, the largest floor plan in the development at about 1,500 sq ft, could not be closer to the crystal clear ocean and has amazing views from its third-floor balcony. Patio furniture includes a 6-seat table and an outdoor sectional sofa with a pull-out base that converts into a day bed for those relaxing days when chilling out and absorbing the view is the #1 priority. Inside is a tastefully decorated large open plan living area with a panoramic view, widescreen HD TV with plenty of room for everyone on the large sofas. In the Master Bedroom there is a super-comfortable king size bed, HD TV and en-suite bathroom with a walk in shower. The second bedroom features twin beds and the third bedroom, overlooking the beach, features a queen size double bed and en-suite bathroom with a tub/shower combination. Other features include a washer/dryer and a safe for valuables. As seasoned vacation renters ourselves we know how disappointing it is to arrive and find tired accommodation with mismatched, second hand equipment. That’s why we when we renovated we decided to do a proper job, renewing virtually everything. Outside Plantation Village boasts two large pools – one with a sea view immediately under our balcony, and an even larger pool in the middle of the complex. There is also free wifi, a tennis and pickle ball court and two large BBQ grill stations, one a stone’s throw from the condo, and a kids’ play area with a climbing frame and swings. There is a tennis/pickle ball court too. We live on island and are regular visitors to the complex, even sitting on the strata committee. Kayaks, bikes and paddle boards are available from the resort at no charge and there is a dive gear cleaning station for scuba divers. You can snorkel in front of the complex (including to the Marriott’s artificial reef which attracts abundant fish and marine life) and beach loungers and umbrellas are provided for shade. A short walk away is the Marriott Hotel with a full range of watersports and great restaurants. The condo is on West Bay Road and is on the bus route if you don’t want to rent a car though we would recommend a rental. Camana Bay with its cinema, shops and restaurants is a 15-minute walk, as are Kirks and Fosters the nearest large supermarkets. The resort office can organize any tours such as diving, Rum Point or Stingray City. Check in is very easy - the resort office is open 7 days a week during office hours and will check you in and hand out hotel style key cards. Out of hours the night security will do the same. We do our best to accommodate early check-ins and late check outs (at no extra cost) so please just ask and we will do our best to work this out. We did rent a car to access other beaches, shop for groceries and visits sites on the island. All the reviews of the condo were really accurate as was the info provided . The condo was well equipped in the kitchen, comfortable for our group to hang out on the balcony or watch a movie together in the evening. The design was tasteful and relaxing. There are good restaurants that are walkable. We mostly ate in for breakfast, headed out for the day on excursions, and cooked or ate out for dinner. Would definitely recommend. ##### Anne W. The condo was just as described and had tons of room for our family including two college-aged kids. Everyone had plenty of space and the condo had everything we needed. Beach chairs, coolers, even a jug so we could bring rum punch the beach. The highlight though is the huge screened in balcony with the most amazing water views, it was like being on a cruise ship. There is a small beach but the water was very shallow and full of coral/rocks, so definitely bring water shoes. However, there is great snorkeling right off the condo and short walk to the sandier spots of 7-mile beach. It was also a short walk to some great restaurants. The condo was perfect and the view was amazing. I loved waking up to overlook the water, palm trees, pool and beach. The outside patio was perfect to drink coffee or have a cold beer after a long day at the beach. I even slept out there one evening to experience the peaceful sounds of the waves. I highly recommend this property. The goggles, floats, paddleboards, kayaks, bikes, beach chairs, beach towels and umbrellas really helped us feel at home with special amenities. The snorkeling right at our beach was a hit with my husband and kids. I liked that it wasn't crowded, and I felt like we were in our own quaint piece of paradise. I loved the little book from previous guests and found their entries helpful in making plans to explore the island. The tour to Stingray Bay and Starfish Point was amazing. Also, I highly recommend The Grand Old House and Coconut Joes. We took the bus around and it was convenient and cheap. We didn't realize most grocery stores are closed on Sunday but found one called Shop Rite that got us through until Monday. The condo's layout was perfect for our family. It felt spacious and welcoming. The pillows were very comfortable. We never felt too hot at night even with the temp set on 74\. It's best to get to the beach early and secure your spot. Not a lot of people there, so it felt very private. Next year, we plan to go again. Thank you! ##### April R. All 6 agree that the condo was excellent. We did not need more than what was available. The complex was very clean and professionally landscaped. We never had more than 30 minutes to drive to all of the places we wanted to see. We will return to Grand Cayman, and if/when we do, we hope to get the same Condo. Thank you ##### Michael P. The property is exactly as pictured and was perfect for our family of 5\. I will start with the negatives. There is no beach which was important for us and it says u can walk to the beach but there is signs everywhere stating Private property. So we had to drive to get to a beach. Coral beach is down the road but we chose Governors Beach which was the most beautiful beach I've ever seen. It was about 12 minutes driving. Another thing for me was the thermostat is locked at 74 for us Texans that is warm. I didn't sleep well so I reached out to Michael asking if it could at least be lowered at night to sleep in comfort and he agreed to remotely change it at night. My thoughts were for the price I paid for the week I wouldn't expect to have to ask permission to cool the property. The last negative we had was the Wifi consistently went down daily, all 3 of my children complained daily. A few times we were watching Netflix n it went down so we just turned the TV off. Now the positives, the property is in a perfect location. There is food, snacks, desserts all in walking distance. Any excursions u have planned they will come and pick u up from the property it was very convenient. Check n check out was fast n simple and everyone was friendly. The washer n dryer are super convenient nobody wants to go back home to loads of dirty laundry. overall we enjoyed our stay! ##### Diana h. Those are only a few of the pluses for staying in this unit! We loved the amenities and the location! The only negative was that the thermostat was locked at 74 degrees and it was very warm and uncomfortable to sleep at night. Right out front easy to catch the bus to Georgetown. The view from the condo was amazing. The pool was never crowded. Furnishings were as pictured and comfortable. Sad the beach washed away. Pictures are accurate. It was perfect for our family of four with two teens. We loved drinking coffee on the screened porch each morning as the water sparkled and a cocktail in the evening watching the breathtaking sunset. The pool was perfect and the small beach as pictured. Just a short walk in shallow water to 7 mile beach for long strolls. The kayaks and paddleboards were an added bonus. The only complaint is that we had to leave! We would definitely love to return and stay at the condo again. ##### Laura K. Loved Peppers and Coconut Joes, walking distance. Suggestions for Condo…rugs for entrance and and patio. Also the kitchen. Not sure if this is possible but it would be great if spices, aluminum foil, baggies, etc. could be left for future guests. Will totally stay here again. ##### Mary W. There seems to have been a lock on the thermostat that prevented us from adjusting the air. Most times the temperature didn't get below 81 degrees inside. The iron didn't work. The bath towels were rough. It would be nice to have a small package of laundry detergent included in the items provided by the host. Due to the hurricane the beach was washed away. We had to go several blocks to get to a portion of the beach that wasn't washed away. ##### Jeanette ### 10/10 – Excellent #### Sarah K. 13 avr. 2023 Points forts : Propreté #### Perfect in every way This property was perfect. I would stay here over and over if I could escape to the Cayman Islands anytime! The home was equipped with everything a family could need, beds were all comfortable, furniture was fresh, clean, new. Outstanding views from bedroom and screened in porch. The pool was cool and refreshing, property was well maintained and organized. Easy walking distance to multiple restaurants and shopping. The real star was the private beach and beautiful snorkeling that we indulged in everyday.
