Basic, good hotel
This place is decent - nothing special but very serviceable and clean. Amazing staff - very accommodating and helpful. In walking distance of the center but with plenty of free or cheap parking nearby.

Good central location
We have stayed many times here. This time a couple of things - parking outside is now paid, we didnt notice until the morning, hopefully no penalty coming our way - the reception could have advised. Our room was clean as always but there was water dripping down a wall in bathroom and then when we showered, water pooled outside the door. We advised reception on way out, hopefully will be sorted. It's our goto when in town and that won't change, we will stay again.

Although the rooms were clean the beds were very hard and the room air conditioning was not working properly. I would not return to this hotel.

This hotel was very well situated for our purpose of visiting family otherwise I would not stay there. It was quiet but 3 star is appropriate . Garbage can not emptied when we entered room and the bed was horrible . However I’ve stayed in much worse and it was clean enough that I was not disturbed by the condition .

The staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are spacious and it feels safe. It’s also very clean. The bed could be more comfortable.

Central location with parking-perfect!
Stayed overnight for an early appointment the next day so central location with parking was perfect for us, the check-in was swift, we splashed out for a suite on 5th floor, views across town to the sea, room was huge & clean, bonus of a mini fridge, bed very comfortable and the shower was very good. Buffet continental breakfast had what you needed to get you started. We would definitely stay there agaib.

Hotel is older but very clean. Beds are comfortable. Employees at reception helpful and friendly. Breakfast is continental style, no eggs, service was good.

Free parking and a great local restaurant
Okay, so we arrived a little early but were told our room wouldn't be ready until 3.00pm. Not a problem, we walked into the main centre of Setubal. Hotel was clean and comfortable and there is free parking available, which is a plus. It's maybe 10 to 16 minutes to walk to the riverfront and the main square. But just two minutes away, is one of the best, cheaper, Portuguese restaurants we've ever found. La Quintal is literally just around the corner and serves giant main courses of excellent local fish and meat for between 10 and 15 euros. Excellent. So, stay here if you want free parking, a short walk into Setubal and an excellent value restaurant on your doorstep.

A nice break away from it all
Pleasant hotel, not too far from the centre/ marina area. Staff were friendly. Hotel a bit dated in areas but still nice. Worth knowing a few words in Portuguese before you go, Setubal is around 45 mins drive from Lisbon and not everyone can speak English. Plenty of seafood restaurants. We found a Chinese and Indian restarant also as well as Pizza Hut and Macdonalds. There is a bus station near the centre if you wish to go into Lisbon, that was 4 Euros each way. The last night, we went on a 2 hour boat trip (20 Euros, very reasonable) and we got to see some dolphins which was nice. Overall food and drink is reasonably cheap.

Great choice:)
20 min walk to the see, 10 min walk to the train station, 5 min to the buss station. Very nice and helpfull staff. Clean room with tv and air condition. WiFi conection ok. We loved the bathroom(with a bath and a shower) selfserviced breakfast- also with fruits and deserts. A good choice:)

Setubal stay - good centre for visiting area.
Very pleasant stay - if using public transport, it is convenient for the bus and rail stations. Staff helpful, breakfast good, waitress v.cheerful and friendly.

The hotel has one one small slow lift and although booking a double room they only had a twin room. Glad we only booked for one night on our trip from Lisbon to Lagos

It's outdated and worn but okay
We stayed here for 2 nights at the end of our 2-week long voyage in Portugal and Spain because of its proximity to the Lisbon airport and local beaches. This hotel is old and knew better times, but the staff do their best to make it feel good. There's nothing specific to complain about. If you have to stay in Setubal, you can stay here as this hotel looks no worse than the town itself. At least, it's authentic. Otherwise, stay in way more cheerful Sesimbra or Troy Peninsula across the river.

Nice Hotel
Handy location for either off the two railway stations in Setubal - good if you have baggage. This does mean it is a slightly longer walk to the pedestrian shopping area and the restautants. Relatively new hotel compared to the usual places I have stayed here in the past. Helpful reception and reasonable buffet breakfast.

I would not call this hotel old, but I would call it "out-dated". the room was large and clean and the breakfast was fair .. this is good value for money, you wont regret booking it, but you won't remember it as the best place you've ever staid in. Setubal was nice place to go to Lisbon from.. had stuff to do around 1 day and 1 night ..

Well priced and friendly staff
We stayed at the Arangues overnight in the town of Setubal. The staff was very pleasant and the manager was very helpful finding us a great place for dinner on the water. Breakfast is included and is typical for the region. The room was actually like a little apartment (2 large rooms with 1 bathroom). There is no view and not new, but clean and adequate.
