Wonderfully Unusual Place to Stay
The location is outstanding with views to die for. The road to the place is in bad repair due to the terrible weather in Spring 2023, but well worth the effort to get there. The rooms are comfortable, up to date, clean, and spacious. The buffet meals are a delight. I have never had better buffet meals. Also the fact that you get breakfast, lunch, and dinner in the price is actually a bargain given the quantity and the quality of the food. They even provide a wide varaty of snacks. It is actaully sat up for long term stay with loads of on site activities, but it also makes a great place to stay for even just one night. The staff were fantastic!

Quite expensive for the type of accommodations offered. Very rustic experience and the food is ok. Problem is there are very few options available in this area but $400 per night for basically a camp seems excessive. Staff were friendly and helpful. Was disappointed to see disposable plates, cups and utensils. Not very environmentally friendly

Beautiful location. Looks like a great place to vacation with kids. Food was good. We booked one of the new "architecture designed cabin in the woods" at @ $450 a night. The cabin was lovely with a wonderful deck to sit on and enjoy the view. The cabin had at least 8 kitchen cabinets and 4 drawers that were all empty . No dishes,no wine glasses, no corkscrew. Plenty of paper cups, packets of coffee, packets or sugar and creamer. We asked for wine glasses at the main lodge and were told "glass is not allowed in the cabins.🤗🤗🤗 Seems to be a resort in transition, but doesn't understand how to do "luxury".

Devastated by winter storm in ‘22 covid and fires prior has presented incredible chdd as lengths to the property. The operators are great snd working to recover. Doing great job but had to be honest about property. Lodging was excellent however alingbwyth staff.

Everyone here was very friendly and nice, however, I feel the condition of the lodge did not match the price. It was quite expensive for a slightly run down looking room, with dislodged wood panels on the ceiling, some stains on the carpet, and a lot of nicks on the walls. The property was messy looking with a lot of construction going on, and the bridge was closed for repairs causing a long dirt road detour for entry onto the property. In addition, our fire alarm went off for 20 minutes before the manager (also very friendly) was able to replace it. Not a bad place to stay, but way too expensive for the condition it was in.

If your seeing the Sequoia’s or hiking Kings Canyon this lodge is a perfect place. Family friendly, cozy, GREAT food. They aim to make your stay terrific. Highly recommend. They even have cabins.

Very pleased with out staying. Rooms are comfortable and the food id delicious! Trivia night at the lodge was fun! Snacks are available for the kids and adults all day. For sure we will come back.

The property itself is OK. Our room was very old. We found blood on one pillow that was replaced and we needed to leave all our windows open at 30 degrees due to a gas smell in the room.

The location and setting make this lodge. We stayed just out of season (end of October), but the pool and hot tub were already drained (I had really been looking forward to using the hot tub under the stars) There was little to no soundproofing in the lodge (the building by the lake), it was like having a herd of gazelles in the room upstairs. The food, while included in the price, is limited, and edible, but not particularly good.

I booked a room not fully knowing what to expect and it exceeded my expectations! Spent 2 days in Kings Canyon and Sequoia National Parks, so this was the perfect in between location. It was great to not have to worry about meals and I loved that we could make ourselves a sandwich in the morning to take with us on our adventures.

Love the lodge. It's a place- in- the- woods, for better and worse. On the upside, it's all the best things you remember about camp. On the downside, the rooms in the main lodge are getting a little seedy with age.

Celine was a doll, kind, hardworking and professional. Hot tub was drained, which was opposite of their webatire that states its open all year. Food was okay. Especially liked being able to make our sandwiches for our day trips.

Lodge surrounded by the forest
The lodge is located inside Sequoia National Park, elevation about 7400 feet. We visited General Sherman tree and after our night stay at the lodge, it was a short drive to Kings Canyon to see General Grant tree on the other side. This quaint and rugged lodge was easy to find and parking was on site. It is family friendly with three meals included. My son enjoyed the family style hearty meals. It was a bit heavy and salty for me but I'm a senior. There were fruit, salad and other light selections. There was a roaring fire and smores after dinner. We enjoyed a gentle canoe ride on the lake before dinner. The room was clean and functional. We had a magnificent view from our room of the forest. The staff for the most part were pleasant and helpful. I highly recommend for families with children. Price was a bit high for the accommodations, but I booked late. We visited mid September and it was a bit cold at night and early morning.

It's a beautiful location and convenient to the sights. Cabin was dusty but the bathroom and bedding seemed clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. I think they must be short staffed though. Food was okay. Several choices at every meal. Communication from the staff could have been better. We arrived at breakfast @ 7:15 and were told it didn't start until 7:30. Would have been nice to receive a handout at check-in with meal time and activity information. Traveled with a 3 and 5 year old. They had a good time at the property with the different things to do.

I would have given this resort a 5-star if I did not have to wait 45 minutes to check-in. Check-in time was 4pm. I had to wait till 4:45pm for my room. Staff is not knowledgeable about the trails near the resort. I asked the staff the location of Buena Vista trailhead as the hotel website says it's only 5 minutes drive. The staff admitted she didn't know the location. It turns out the trailhead is just opposite Kings Canyon Overlook. Other than that, this hotel has excellent location. It is inside the park, in between of Sequoia and Kings Canyon national parks, making it so convenient after all the hikes and driving. The hotel stay comes with all-inclusive meals and the food was great. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

The all inclusive meals a activities were extremely convenient and nice, however losing power for the night was beyond terrible. Fell in shower when the electricity went out. We located staff and an hour later they looked at it and power was restored for aprix. 2 minutes. Staff did not return and power was out all night.

Beautiful place to stay. Arrived after 8:30pm and staff was friendly and even had meal set aside for us. Spent 3 nights. Breakfast, Lunch and dinner included. Lodge was nice. This resort is located in a beautiful wooded area with a view of snow cap mountains and a small lake. The owners should invest some money into making the grounds more like a charming resort.The rooms in the Lodge are adequate but needs updating.A welcoming facade upon driving up would give a positive vibration. They should contain all the wood cutting stations,dumpsters,Gators and trucks into one section out of sight. The staff are welcoming and helpful, food options are excellent.Located in the middle of the Sequoia And Kings canyon parks is convenient .
