This hostel is in a great area. The beds were comfortable and the rooms quiet. The staff were friendly and helpful. The whole place was clean and welcoming. It was a great stay.

The hotel location is really great, walkable from the stations and famous attractions such as palaces. There are also convenient stores nearby, and one is right next to the hotel. Tommy and staff are really kind and helpful. The room was also warm and comfortable.

Tommy was so hospitable and welcomed me with great service. He even offered a scarf and heat pack for the cold weather. I would definitely recommend this hostel.

Location and price was good The airport bus stop was a few minutes walk from the hotel. The only thing I didn’t like was there was no elevator, I had to carry my big luggages upstairs to the reception and room.

Really great stay at hostel Tommy, he made an effort to get to know all guests which made the stay much more comfortable as we could approach him with any questions about seoul. Overall the room was very clean and great value for money.

This is my first time at Hostel Tommy. I was very impressed everything in this hostel. First, the hostel is very close to subway station (Jongno 3-ga) you can reach there only 3 minutes by walk. Moreover, the hostel is very close to 2 supermarkets and many Korean restaurants. You can walk only 3-5 minutes to popular touritst destination like Changdeokgung Palace from the hostel. What's a convenient!!!! All staff here is very friendly and helpful. They all can speak English well and ready to help you if you want. Room size is bigger than I imagine and all facilities is good. It would be better if the towel is bigger. I highly recommend you all to stay here and next time in Seoul, I promise I'll be here again.

Family-friendly! Top-notched hostel!
Reception: Was welcomed by Mr Tommy himself and I have to say it was certainly one of the most heartwarming welcomes i have received considering how i am a frequent traveller. Fast check-in too as the room was ready upon arrival. Just to note that there is a flight of stairs to climb, so moving the luggages up might be slightly challenging at times. Room: The room is clean and have adequate amenities within, just take note that used towels have to be brought out to the main area in exchange for new ones. There is also floor heating in the room so not too worry if you're visiting during the winter period. Simple breakfast provided - eg. cereals, bread, eggs, coffee/tea/milk Location: 5 mins walk away from the Jongno 3(sam)-ga subway station, so that's a very big plus! 10-15 mins walk away from the famous Insadong street. Convenience stores are just downstairs and along the street to/from the subway station. Pretty quiet, yet still safe when walking in the vicinity at night. Price point: Value for money! You definitely get more than what you've paid for!

The hotel location is VERY convenient and safe. The room is clean. Jenny and Justin are very kind and helpful. Tommy is also very nice. The overall stay is beyond our expectation. Thank you guys!

Convenient location, comfortable lounge
Staff was very friendly and active in engaging you in a conversation, adding quite a personal touch to your stay at the hostel. The owner Tommy can speak a few languages other than Korean, such as English, Chinese and Japanese. Convenient location, about 5min walk from jongno-sam-ga station. Breakfast is quite wholesome with bread, various spreads (Nutella, peanut butter, jam, butter) and they have a stove for people to cook. Lounge is big and comfortable with quite a few activities like board games and guitar etc. Room is abit small but the price per night is just right. Laundry costs 1k won for the detergent and the dryer is free.

Affordable and convenient accommodation that's near the subway. Friendly staff with nice service! The owner is very nice and personable too! Delicious breakfast provided too. Clean, comfortable bedrooms with attached washrooms. Recommended for anyone with family/friends/solo-traveling. Subway is at the junctions of other lines too and easy to travel all around Seoul. Would consider coming back again when I'm back in Seoul for holiday next time!

Worth it!
Amazing place. I stayed here for 12 days. The Staff members are super kind, very personable, and always helpful. The place is family friendly, clean, and the location couldn't be better. Minutes away from a major subway line, restaurants, shopping, etc. Will definitely be coming back during my next visit.

Super hostel très bien situé !
Super hostel situé à 2 pas de plein d’attractions touristiques du quartier traditionnel de Séoul, et d’une grande station de métro. L’hostel est propre, calme et le personnel ainsi que Tommy sont très serviables et agréables ! Je recommande vivement :)

모텔도 나름이지만 모텔은 크리스마스 전날은 같은 사이즈의 방이 200000 원 정도 합니다, 저희는 특수 방음 이중 창문이여서 외부 소음은 거의 없어요, 아마도 복도에서 매너없는 고객이 소음을 낸거 같네요. 이해해 주세요. ^^ 조식 포함 그정도 가격이면 싼거에요. 크리스 마스 이브는 일년중에 가장 비싼 날이지만 그나마 저희는 7~8만원 입니다, 모텔에서 흉내 못내는 호스텔만의 장점이 많아요. 자주 이용해 보세요. ^^

トイレットペーパー問題
ドミトリーに泊まりました。 初日2時に到着してチェックインの時間より早かったのですが10分後にチェックインしてくれるというので待ちました 待っている間にフロントの横にあるトイレを借りたのですが紙がなかったです。 お部屋に入ってからバスルームに「ルームメイトがバスルーム使用中にトイレに行きたくなったら2階フロント横にあります。トイレットペーパーは備え付けていないのでフロントの紙を持っていってください」て書いてありました。 なんで紙のこと教えてくれなかったのかなと思いました。 最終日の早朝に部屋のトイレに入ったらトイレットペーパーがなかったです。 みんな寝た後になくなったのか、ルームメイト誰も教えてくれませんでした。 メモとかもなかったです。 普通のペーパーホルダーじゃなくてロールを全面に覆ってあるタイプだったから全然気がつきませんでした。 私は「紙がないですよ」と知らせるためにペーパーホルダーを開けておきました。 朝8時にならないとフロントが開かないのでそれまでトイレットペーパーなしです。 ルームメイトにこのホステルのスタッフの子がいたので8時を待たなくてもその子がトイレに入って 気づいて補充してくれました。 お部屋に予備を置いといてほしいです。 ボディーソープとシャンプーはあるけど リンスと歯ブラシはないです。 シャワーカーテンは幅が足りないけどありました。 お風呂あがって部屋に出るときは暑いので短パンとかある方がいいと思います。 ドライヤー2つ、ストレートアイロン1つもありました。 シャワーはみんな順番に使って、特に渋滞してる感じもなかったです。 冷蔵庫も全然ぎゅうぎゅうじゃなかったです。 お布団も暖かくて夜中暑くてめくってました。 オンドルもあります。エアコンもあります。 朝ごはんはコーヒー、オレンジジュース、トースト、シリアル、お粥、卵がありました。 なぜかバターがなかったです。紅茶もない。 卵は自分でクッキングします。 お皿の洗い物も自分でします。 下の階にあるスーパーで韓国のりがロッテ百貨店の倍の量を半額で買えます。 屋上にハンモックがあります。 初日のルームメイトは愛想よくお話してくれて朝ごはんも一緒に食べてました。 ２日目のルームメイトはhi!しか言ってくれなくて会話終わりました。3日目は朝すぐ帰りました。

I really enjoyed staying in this hostel. The room was nice and clean, the people were very helpful. The location is also nice, close to Insadong street, not far from a subway station and an airport bus stop. I would recomment this place to everyone, but especially to someone who doesn't have much experience with Korea and the language. People from this hostel will make the life easier for you! Ich habe mein Aufenthalt wirklich genossen. Das Zimmer war sauber, die Leute nett und hilfbereit. Die Lage ist auch gut - in der Naehe zu Insadong Strasse, nicht weit entfernt von Metro und Flughafen Bus Haltestelle. Ich wuerde dieses Hostel allen Reisenden empfehlen, vor allem aber Leuten, die zum ersten Mal nach Korea reisen oder die Sprache nicht kennen. Ihr werdet viel Untestuetzung von den Angestellten bekommen.

ツインルームに２日泊まりましたが、とても快適に過ごせました。スタッフの方々は親切でしたし、ベッドの固さも心地よくちょうど良かったです。朝食も付いてあの値段でしたら、申し分ないと思いますす。かゆい所に手が届くホステルでした。

This is my second time to visit this hostel. Reception can speak English. This hostel is so cozy and near landmark for visit such as Jongmyo Shrire, Changdeokgung Palace, and Gyeongbokgung Palace. Nice hostel!!

사장님이 아주 친절하시고 직원들도 잘 도와줬어요. 환경도 좋고 깨끗하고 최고입니다! CP值很高的民宿，雖然沒有電梯但工讀生都會幫忙搬行李。離益善洞非常近，烤豬五花一條街也在附近，靠近地鐵鍾路三街站，附近餐廳很多不怕宵夜沒東西吃，會推薦朋友去住的。

Als ich ankam und etwas ratlos in den Aufenthaltraum guckte kam ein Herr auf mich zu und meinte: "Hi, I'm Tommy!" Dann sagte ich meinen Vornamen, und Tommy wusste sofort wer ich war und woher ich kam. Er zeigte mir die Küche, mein Zimmer und gab gute Tips. Somit fühlte ich mich gleich gut aufgehoben. Das Zimmer ist klein aber völlig angemessen, die Fußbodenheizung bei den -6°C Außentemperatur eine Wohltat und über das Frühstück mit Brot freute ich mich nach vielen brotlosen Tagen ganz besonders. Wenn ich wieder nach Seoul komme, dann komme ich wieder her!
