1st time in my life, I have a fan in a hotel room. The aircon wasn't working well so we called for service. Was told that it's the hotel's policy where central air conditioning is fixed at 27 degrees with fan 1 power. Can you imagine how hot it was?? Despite opening the tiny window fully, there was no wind at all. So they offered a fan instead. Also, the toilet bowl stinks on the 3rd day, suspected the room service didn't clean the toilet daily also. Whenever we call room service, attitude is always very impatient. Never coming back.

All of the workers here were excellent especially all the maids and the people helping to schedule taxis. The maids went above and beyond!! Thank you for a great stay.

A lovely hotel with a great staff. Two challenges: centrally controlled heat so our room was VERY hot and taxi service could be really slow.

Great location right off of Meyongdong street. Easy to get to bus stops, shopping, market and dining. Only complaint was room was very small. Not much room for luggage but we made it work. Staff was always helpful and friendly especially when we needed help getting taxis.

Royal Hotel Seoul is situated in a very convenient location - easy access to shopping, food, transportation. The hotel staff was also very friendly and helpful. I will definitely stay here again when in Seoul.

This is an excellent hotel and a wonderful place to stay. This feels like a 5 star hotel, even though it is a 4. The facilities are brilliant, the staff offer a top level service and the location is convenient for all the main sites. Well done Royal Hotel Seoul!

This is my 2nd stay at the Royal Hotel, and I recommend it to anyone who likes both the busy shopping aspect of Myeongdong and the easy access to multiple train lines being close by. All the staff were super helpful and lovely. I will definitely be back.

Location was the best. But the carpet condition in the room was really bad… despite they gave us a high 15th floor, and at night there was mozzie in the room despite we never opened the window. The lobby looked luxury and welcoming and it’s a big contrast to the room itself.

Staffs wasn't professional. Doormen is so scary, way he talks and looks. They forgot to clean garbage couple times. Didn't have extra toilet paper. Finally, they have one washer and dryer. Time i use it run out of soap from bending. So i call them. They said come down to lobby. When i went down they said sorry we dont have any soap. None!!! Such a big hotel don't have a extera soap??? Come on!!!!!

Quality of service staff - esp as a 4 star hotel
For a 4 star hotel I did expect the service staff to be more service oriented . Eg sending you luggage to your room and be more aware of customer needs . I paid for lounge use as part of room fee , while the view is great the drinks offered were not consistent eg sparkling wine one day and not another day . And when we asked the service staff why , they don’t bother to explain clearly the reason, making the client myself wondering if it was worthy after all to pay for lounge use . Generally seems like the service staff are not taking extra steps to make clients feel taken care of

We stayed at this property for 3 nights and thought it was in a great area, the rooms are in desperate need of an upgrade. The carpet is threadbare. The rooms are small and the bathroom has a shower over the bath. There is no operational exhaust fan in the bathroom. The lighting in the bathroom is extremely dim. We found the room very quiet and the staff extremely polite and helpful.

The hotel is in an excellent location to everything such as restaurants, street food, shopping for clothes, makeup, souvenirs, all the shopping you need it’s there. The hotel is clean, showers water is strong, clean tubs and overall is clean and spacious. The staff are wonderful, very helpful, polite, professional and friendly. I went to the club lounge drinks and the view for the sunset it’s gorgeous. I will definitely go back.

The hotel was perfect for my family of 5. There was plenty of shopping centers and eateries close by. The hotel was at the beginning of Myeong Dong Night Market. All the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful.

Terrific hotel in a fun location. Myeongdong never stops - lots to see, crowds of people, shopping and street food everywhere, the feeling of a carnival. Subway stations nearby gave easy access to all of Seoul. Everything walkable and felt safe. The hotel itself was clean, efficient, everything precise and comfortable. We had a triple (3 beds) on 17th floor. Quiet, decent sized room for a big city. Had read stories of mosquitoes in rooms from other reviews here, never experienced any of that (we were there late July). Really comfy, great shower, slept well. Staff are courteous but don't expect smiley and chatty - they are professional and helpful. Mid-sized, excellent Korean/Western breakfast. Had a terrific week in Seoul and the security and ease of staying in such a high quality hotel was a big part of that.

Lovely staff. Everyone was very helpful in helping us navigate and call for taxis. Check in and check out was smooth and hotel rooms are clean. Perfect location to try out street food and shop all day and night.
