You know, it's a big US hotel in Korea. There are no surprises. Would I stay here again if I was traveling to Seoul.. Probably not. There is just nothing "special" about it.

"Too busy swimming pool and spy services in summer"
The weekend is full of families and kids, not recommend for young couples or for a quiet getaway. It's more like a family resort.

"Nice hotel with convenient location."
The hotel is in a very good location for access to various tourist spots and shopping areas. Rooms are clean and well kept. However the general demeanour of the staff gave the impression that they were merely carrying out their duties with no sense of hospitality that the Westin brand is associated with. Overall I would give it a 3.8 on a scale of 5.

"Best price for luxury brand in Seoul"
Had to make an unanticipated trip to Seoul from NY to attend a funeral. Looking at luxury hotels, The Ritz had the best price by far. Have stayed at this brand before and always have been very happy. The Seoul location didn't disappoint. In the popular Gangnam-Gu area and the facility and staff was excellent.

"Very friendly staff, but facility is limited"
This hotel is located in the quiet area of Seoul and feels more like a resort or nice fitness club. But the room we stayed in was in an old remodeled building with very low ceiling furnished with dark furniture. Even though they try to make luxurious, the room was dark overall (we don't like anything dark). Otherwise, the location is good surround by green mountain and the staff was extremely friendly wanting to please us. Someone told us that the new main building has a higher ceiling. Overall, it is a nice hotel.

"One strict staff"
2 rooms. one for grandma, one for our family of four. Went to busan, then when we returned, one of the managers said they can't do 4 in a room due to fire code. I'm not sure if this is correct. Need to see the fire code. Regardless, other staff were all great as expected for two rooms for two weeks. Lower floor definately noisier at 8th vs 22nd. Pool was beautiful but small. Buffets are very good quality. Limo guy polite. Next time I come please let me know What room can hold 2 adults and 2 kids so family of 4 can stay together on a trip?

"Friendly and relaxed"
This was my first time in the far East. I was staying in Seoul for a conference and this hotel was less than 3 mins away from the Coex centre. The road outside looks busy but I can honestly say it never bothered me in the room which was quiet and nicely air conditioned. The rooms have a boutique feel and whilst the facilities are fine I found it difficult to relax and work. That didn't matter too much as there were plenty of other spaces to go to such as the bar at the top of the hotel. The staff were warm, friendly and extremely helpful. The concierge service was also very helpful indeed. I found some nice bars behind the hotel which were nice for an evening drink but skip the club next to the hotel which seems to be a Korean only members club. Overall I loved Seoul they are warm, friendly, fun loving people. The food was amazing and the city was a fascinating introduction to the far east. I would definitely return to Seoul and the Hotel Riviera would be my choice to stay again.
