Budget stay in the big Seoul
Good value for the location. However, I wish that I have spent a little more staying somewhere else to be more comfortable. We wanted to leave after seeing our first assigned room which was tiny and stank with decomposition probably from the drain. As we explained why we were willing to leave without a full refund, the staff was nice enough to give us a bigger twin room upstairs. The second room was better, but the drain still smelt quite a bit though not as bad. The bathroom was not very clean or comfortable.

Alice Residence - Perfect for what it is!
For what it was, I was very satisfied. The room was tiny(~10ft x 8ft), but my son and I were only there to shower, sleep, and plan. The majority of every day was spent exploring Korea. Front desk spoke sufficient English and were always willing to assist, and helpful. At times, they would disappear for hours at a time, but when back, they were great. AC in the room was sufficient for a cool, comfortable stay. They had "muslim" specific appliances such as microwave and utensils, etc. (with signs indicating "Muslims Only" in the kitchen area), but common area for all other religions. What was up with that?! Takes a little getting used to the fact that you shower directly on the bathroom floor tiles. They did provide rubber slippers to wear while showering, but you shower ~2 feet from the bowl and basically all the bathroom received water splashes from wall to wall. Toilet paper was protected from getting wet by a metal cover. Note that I gave Alice Residence high marks for "what it was". If you are comparing to a Hilton, then yes, 2-to-3 stars average would be more accurate. I am not a complainer, nor overly fussy, nor spoiled, so I rated it accordingly for what it was. They was a small refrigerator, and electric kettle to boil water, but I would just use the hot water dispenser in the lobby (which also served chilled water). Surprisingly, there were dozens of HD TV channels to flip though while in the room. Couple in English channels with subtitles also.

My experience at lavinia guest house
The guest house provides bare minimum required for a hassle free stay, minus any luxuries. However, it is centrally located well connected with nearly Anguk subway station to the city. Plus point is it is just walking distance from the main palaces of Seoul. Reaching at night could be a problem as there is no one to answer the telephone or receive you at night. A key with my name on a sticker guided me to my room and i was thankful for it. It is a busy place since it is light on the pocket.

Clean and safe, but with noisy tourists
I stayed in this guesthouse a couple of times already. It is very clean and safe as a budget hotel, bathroom is always clean which is good. The neighbourhood is also OK with quick walk for 10 mins you will be at the subway. However, in the recent times I notice that the noise levels from Chinese tourists have been very disturbing. The corridors are all with hard surface (nothing to absorb noise e.g. carpet), and when other tourists sometimes pack or talk (or shout) in the corridors (often in the early mornings) it is extremely disturbing. We tried to ask them to lower the voice but it didn't help. I wouldn't mind staying in this guesthouse again and again but not until the noise issue is resolved. I hope the staff/ management can do something about it as I do like this guesthouse much. Thanks.

Hotel Lavinia is the 1st choice when I travel to Seoul. A city full with excitement. Kpop, food, fashion, costmetic.

Not a big nor luxurious room; yet, having working facilities and clean room. If you don't care about how luxurious or good your room is but when sleeping is your only concern, this can be a good choice. Still, it is quite a far from the subway station.

Enjoyed my stay1
It was a bright cheerful room with storage for my bags, hot shower, cable TV Wi-Fi and so forth. It even has an elevator. The check in is on the 6th floor, The manager is very nice. Metro not too far away, and Airport Express bus #6011 oh so close. There are eateries around and a small store. It was clean and comfortable and I would go there again.

Pleasant place to stay
Once we found the guesthouse was easy to get back to. The map printed poorly so even the locals had trouble showing us how to get there.Close to a couple of the palaces and public transport. Decent local restaurants nearby. The tour to the D M Z was an interesting experience.

convenient location but heater took a while
Hotel is easy to find. Hotel staff was great. They were very helpful. The only complaint I have is about the floor heater. It took a while for the floor heater to get warm. By the time I went to sleep, the room was at a comfortable temperature. If I checked in a little later, I feel the room would still be cold.

Easy access to metro line 5
This hotel was easy to find, very clean and tidy. The halls are all tiled so it was quite noisy at times, but I would stay here again.

日本語は通じなかったが、なんとか対応してくれました。安宿なのでたくさんは望めません。観光地まで近く駅までも徒歩圏内なのでそこは良かったです。あと、床暖房、二重扉(窓？)なので寒さは大丈夫でした。

便利性很高
離車站近，交通方便，出飯店幾分鐘就是店家林立，商圈景點超近，去哪都方便，周邊很多當地雜貨店跟傳統特色小吃。熱水超熱，還有暖氣跟投幣式洗衣機。

四人房很細， 設施非常簡單 ，只有一個煲水的電熱壺 ，連一個杯子也没有，更沒有沖涼液牙膏等用品。行李箱在房内打不開，只能放在内陽台開。不過地方乾淨，只適合背包客，平價之選。

이건 뭐 여관도 아니고 말만호텔이지 주차시설도 없을 뿐더러 원룸 개조해서 침대하나 딸랑 놓아두고 가격만 비싸고 그냥 주변 여관이더 호텔같습니다 다른분이나 외국인 분들 많으시던데 나라욕먹겠습니다 위생용품도 전부금액 지불 하라고 하니 너무하네요

실내가 사진과달랐습니다.. 전화선도 고장나서 프론트로 연락할수없어서 직접내려갔다왔구요.. 여자혼자자는데 베란다쪽 창문 하나랑 욕실창문이 안잠겨서..프론트에내려가서말씀드렸더니.. 배관없어서 올라올일이 없을거라고 파출소도가까이있어서 괜찮을거라고 하셨지만..사실 많이 무서웠네요.. 저렴한가격은괜찮았지만...긍정적인평을내릴순없을것같습니다..

호텔운영 엉망이에요
호텔 운영이 엉망이에요. 예약사이트를 국내, 국외 모두 받아 숙박도 못하고 튕겨졌어요. 비오는 날 한밤중에 걸어서 다시 숙소를 옮겨야 했다는. 당시는 경황이 없어 잘 곳을 마련하는데만 신경썼는데, 지금 생각하니 정작 직원이나 사장 그 누구에게도 제대로 된 사과를 못 들었어요. 고개를 숙이거나 눈을 회피하고 딴 곳으로 갈 궁리만 하고. 다음날 12시를 넘어 겨우 호텔에서 알아봐 준 모텔에서 잠을 청해야 했는데 정말 화납니다. 앨리스 레지던스 직원은 툭하면 사라지거나 클레임 상황이 어떻게 해결되고 있는지 말도 안 해 주고, 막판엔 아예 사라져 전화도 안 받고 잠수타버리는 어처구니 없는 만행까지 저지르더군요. 방 안이 어떻게 생겼는지 구경도 못한채 호텔에서 별도로 예약해 준 모텔에서 자게 되었지만, 일행 중 여성도 있어 화장실과 욕실이 유리칸막이로 다 들여다 보이는 모텔에서 또 다시 숙박을 정하느라 고통스런 시간을 실랑이하며 보내야 했어요. 지금도 악몽같던 이번 서울여행은 지금까지 호텔스닷컴으로 예약한 국내외 여행 중 최악의 경험으로 오래 남을 것 같아요. 특히 국내, 국외 예약사이트 함께 이용하는 호텔은 전화로 다시 확인해야 할 것 같아요.

직원이 익스피디아 넘버사용방법 모르는 듯 익스피디아 설명과 달리 조식 없음, 호텔안내 설명과 다르다고 다시 물으니 토스트제공 된다 함 방 들어가고 나서야 잘못 안내한거 확인하고 다시 로비에서 다른 방 키 받으러감 나중에는 지불한 금액(45000원)이랑 컴퓨터에 뜨는 가격(36000원)이랑 다르다고 진짜 45000원 지불한거 맞냐고 물어봄 창문없음, 답답해서 문열어 둠, 덕분에 빨리 퇴실 샴푸, 바디워시, 치약 등 아무것도 없음, 추가요금 1000원 지불해야 줌 비누도 없음, 가지고 가야함 작은 페트병 물 2개는 제공됨, 수건2개 제공 하나 더 달라고하면 줌, 헹거 있음, 작은 드라이기 있음, 작은 냉장고 있음, 작은 티비 있음, 내부는 깨끗한 편 직원이 호텔에 대해서 잘 모르는 것 같아서 답답했음

服務變很差，竟然說沒房要住到別家很差的旅館
太差了，以前每年來首爾旅遊都住這邊，覺得這裡的人不錯很幫忙，這次來原來換老闆了，也不通知也不更新聯絡電話，竟然說沒房，把我們換到了一家又小又舊而且沒電梯的破旅館，投訴後第二天才換回這棟酒店，但房間小到除了床，連人要走進去都側著身子，明顯是硬把兩張單人床擺進去的單人房。 感覺被騙錢了，以後不會再訂這家了！

故宮や繁華街迄近いゲストハウス
始めてチョンノ近辺に宿泊した為、最寄り駅からタクシーを利用しました。 ゲストハウス前までは行くことが出来ずに、近くに下ろされました。 人しか通れない道を通らないとたどり着けない感じです。 設備は韓国らしくシャワーしかなく浴槽がないのがスタンダードなので分かっていましたが、旅行後半には近くのチムチルバンに行きました。毎日日中に外出中にタオル2枚と水1本を入れたビニール袋をドアノブにかけてくれます。掃除は毎日しないので、して欲しい前日に申請したらしてくれるそうです。 フロントは結構不在が多いです。その為、不在の時はフロントに書いてある番号へ連絡しないといけませんが韓国携帯を持ってないと困るかもしれません。洗濯機は1階フロントを過ぎて奥にあり洗剤は自由に使ってコインも不要で使う事ができます。

離地鐵安國站很近的平價民宿又乾淨
我住宿單人套房，一個人空間剛好，房間有陽臺，光線明亮，浴室非常乾淨，交通便利，出民宿附近是鍾路三街有很多美食。住宿期間蠻安靜的，很棒。

생각보다 좋았습니다. 침구류, 와이파이 등 기본시설은 모두 좋습니다. 하지만 복도에서 들리는 소리가 방음이 잘 안됩니다.

行きはリムジンバス6011を利用しました。、仁川空港より30分に1本ほどあり、昌徳宮まで60－70分程度でつきます。1万wですが、楽です。帰りは朝早くの金浦空港だったので、地下鉄とAREXを利用しました。5号線の鐘路3街④出口は、ホームまですべてエスカレーターで降りれます。ここから5つ目の孔徳でAREXに乗り換えができます。時間の予測もつきますし、早いです。どこへ行くにも、ここは便利だと思います。泊まった感想は、安いのでこんなもんだと思います。皆さんの言うように、壁は薄いです。あと、ゲストハウスを使ったことのない人に、便利グッズを紹介しておきます。トイレの便座に貼るシート・シャワーを使うときにトイレを濡れないようにする大きいビニール袋・シャワーするときに足が冷たくないようにする子供用折り畳みお風呂シート。そのほか、フローリングワイパーの替えシートが何枚かあれば、自分でさっと床のごみを掃除できますよ。

중심가에서 이동하기 편리함 주변에 편의점이 바로 있음
생각보다 주변이 조용했고 중심가를 걸어서 자니기에도 불편함이 없었다 시설은 깨끗하고 이부자리도 굿. 단지 배개가 조금 높아서 불편했고, 건조했다 난방, 온수도 잘 나왔다

위치도 좋고, 시설도 좋고, 직원분들 서비스도 좋고, 뭐라 할말이 없네요
한달전에 서울쪽에 친구를 만날 일이 있어, 2박 정도 숙박을 하게 되었는데, 그 때가 라바니아 게스트하우스에서 처음 숙박하는 것이었습니다. 그 당시엔 트리플룸에서 묵었었고, 이번에는 더블룸에서 묵게 되었는데(3박 정도), 시설도 시설이지만, 서비스나 객실 청결도 면에서 굉장히 만족했습니다. 성격이 굉장히 깔끔한 걸 좋아해서, 어지간하면 만족하지 못하는데 라바니아 게스트 하우스는 굉장히 만족스러웠습니다. 일단 가보시면 몸소 느끼게 되실 겁니다. 아, 간혹 헷갈리는 분들이 있으실 수도 있는데, 라바니아 게스트하우스와 앨리스 호스텔은 동일한 곳입니다. 저도 궁금해서 여쭤보니, 여 사장님께서 동생분이랑 운영하시는 거라서 그렇게 지으셨다고 하네요^^ 다음에도 종로쪽에 묵을 일이 있다면 망설이지 않고 예약할 생각입니다.

Nice quality/price and position
Nice quality/price for single easy trip. Very good position, nearby bus station, metro, galleris, museum and Insadong for hanging out. Breakfast is very simple and usually finished before 10am but I don't mind for this accomadation fee.

整修中很多設備不能使用，飲水機在一樓不方便
剛好遇到整修，很多設備不能使用，住在六樓但飲水機和電腦在一樓，需下樓才能使用，垃圾要自己倒，房間明亮乾淨，服務人員很親切，約走500公尺可搭地鐵1、3、5號線很方便。

Wonderful trip with wonderful guesthouse
I stayed in this guesthouse for 5 nights and I had best time. The room was big, clean and new. The area of this guesthouse was near many palaces and shrines. It was easy to go around by subway. The staffs were very friendly and helpful. Free breakfast! I will stay here again next time.

位置距離地鐵站步行約十分鐘，尚可接受。服務員好nice, 服務態度很好。房間空間都ok, 房間很乾淨整潔。鄰近有多間便利店及食店，距離機場巴士亦很近呢！

余りも酷かったのでコメントは止めておきます。写真の外観とは裏腹にバナナと共有している為捜すのに一苦労しました。現地の友人でさえ見つけて貰うのに苦労していました。部屋についてのコメントは止めておきます。日本人には進められません！！

종로에 위치하여 인근 여행에는 좋으나 주차, 주변 상권과의 마찰 등의 문제가 있음
가격적인 면(세금 포함가), 차를 소유하고 있는 여행객(오직 백패커?) 등, 가족이 같이 하는 여행객이라면 차라리 인근의 호텔을 추천하겠음. 아직 조식... 제주 혹은 다른 지역의 게스트하우스를 가봤지만 가장 좋지 않았음

창덕궁근처라 인사동 북촌 경복궁 다 걸어다닐만 했어요. 직원분들도 매우 친절하시고 방도 깨끗하고 담에 또 이용할것 같아요. 잘 묵었다 왔습니다.
