Nothing like what it showed in the pictures. I was very disappointed with the front desk. This male staff with the tattoo is very rude as I had some questions to ask.Actled he is letting me stay there for free and doing me a favour.

Clean and good but a bit inconvenient
The hostel was okay, but the reasons I decided to move to another hostel were: toiletries were watered down, guest towel cabinets were empty, no electric outlet at my bed (not any extension cord). Apart from that the room and bed were pretty clean, and other travelers were friendly and easy to talk to! This hostel has a communal area to hang out, making it easy to make new friends. The train station is one minute from the hostel, and it’s really easy to get to anywhere around Seoul.

I was having huge fun for my first solo trip. I used their share room and it’s quite good, having lockers for every bed. All room doors are using password instead of keys. It’s good for backpackers or people who travel alone, a good chance to make friends with people from other countries. They got both local staffs and foreign staffs. They are so friendly and helpful. They will also invite us to join activities with other guests. And don’t forget, Ocean is the nicest Korean guy I’ve ever met in Korea;)

A basic stay
An ok place. There are a total of 4 toilets and 8 showers total for who knows how many guys to share-so it is possible that you'll have 2 wait...rooms pretty basic-which is normal among hostels. Lounge seems comfy and kitchen to use. The location is very good-walkable to all major spots. overall it served it purpose:)

The Kimchee Guesthouse is a great place to stay if you're looking to meet new people from around the world. The staff are all very kind and very patient and go out of their way to create spaces where people can engage in discussions about their travels and their experiences. Its chill, and if you need a place to kickback and maybe get some soju with friends, definitely give this location a try.

Really fun!
It was a good place to stay. The staff were really friendly (Choe, ohshin, and j?). And it was also really easy to make new friends in the common spaces. The rooms and facilities were fine. I wish there were mirrors somewhere in the room because it was hard to get ready without one LOL.

It was nice. The bathrooms and such could’ve been a little cleaner but it wasn’t too bad. The beds were okay. The staff were very awesome though. Great people. Would recommend

My single room was disappointing as far as cleanliness and bed comfort. Bed sheets and comforter had stains and fingernails lying around. Very difficult to control the water temperature for the shower. Barely any hot water from the sink. Hostel reception staff was very friendly and helpful. Had no problem letting the hostel staff do my laundry for 4,000 won including wash and dry. Not a very good value hostel for a single room considering the condition of the facility and room. Location was five minutes walk from the closest train/bus station. Convenient direct bus shuttle transportation to the ICN airport.

Some beds have power outlets, some don't. Some guests seem to stay here for long periods, and have a lot of stuff that they spread over a large area. The common areas are nice and large. Kitchen area is not insulated, so was very cold in the winter. Wifi was quite good!

Short-term stay for vacation at a cheap price
The female dormitory has lockers to store my things securely, and it is clean. The bathroom has shower stalls, toilets, and sinks with shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. However, the night I used the toilet, there was a gentleman using the toilet next to mine when it was supposed to be a female only bathroom. Rules should have been obeyed by all guests at the least. The kitchen and the game area were a mess from previous night's events until the staff had cleaned around 9 am. The kitchen has grills, microwaves, sink, washer/dryer unit, rice pot, and refrigerators to store my own food. Overall, my stay was warm and comfortable. For the price I paid for, I thought it was an excellent deal considering all the amenities that were offered.

The hallways and bathrooms have a smell. It would hit me like a ton of bricks every time i left my room or came into the building. They clean the bathroom by what appears to be a pressure washer since everything is soaked all the time. The staff was really nice and helpful but they would always clean the bathrooms at the same time so if you had to go between 11am and 12 pm you were out of luck. There are lockers in the room with an electronic lock but the staff will open them with no questions asked so idk how safe that really is. Overall it wasnt the worst hostle I have ever stayed at but personally I wouldnt stay there again.

Ideally Located
The staff were very friendly and helpful the hostel was right next to the metro so was ideal for me to get around. Place is clean and plenty of hot water. All in all had a pleasant if short stay.

Location good
The hotel staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The hotel sends an email requiring you to respond for confirmation and also provides excellent directions to the guesthouse. Too many bugs from the windows being open.

Overall would not recommend and would not stay again. Reception was fine, but the cleanliness is just not there. I developed rashes around my legs after sleeping in the bed with shorts on.

This is the 3rd guesthouse from the Kimchee family I stayed. As an avid traveller, if I keep coming back to them, they must be good. It is a 4-storey guesthouse, close to Seoul Station & with access to Line 2 & 5 of Seoul Metro. Transport is a breeze, and there's also bus stop (even for airport limousine) nearby. The dormitory room I stayed is spacious. There's locker inside & air-conditioner. Wifi available throughout the building. Ratio between male & female restrooms heavily favors the latter. Note that the shower cubicle is only separated by shower curtains.

The hostel is almost close to everything in Seoul.
Easy to find. Staff are really friendly and very accommodating. Rooms are a bit crowded but you get what you pay anyway. I can stay there again if I m coming back to Seoul.

I booked this hostel because it was very cheap and close to Seoul station. So I liked the location but room was not that clean, shower room was cold(it was in November), and sound when you open the door was noisy so when someone went out and came in, it woke me up. But for the price it was nice overall.

Everything was as expected. Appreciated the large bathroom/shower area which is uncommon in Korea. very close to the metro and a pretty decent location (enough restaurants around, but not very central without taking the metro). Beds were springy and not very comfortable but enough to get you through a few nights. Pleasant staff. Would recommend.

First of all, this is a guesthouse, not a hotel. It is pretty basic. The best thing about this guesthouse it is across a metro station on green line.

Positives - Friendly staff, convenient location in seoul, restaurants and convenience shops nearby, big bathroom, towels provided Negatives - Duvet had feathers poking out (long sleeves/pants recommended), periodical rattling noise from airconditioning unit, tiny bedroom, poor noise isolation (we lived on the third floor but could hear people talking on the ground floor outside the building) It's still great value for the price though. Also, the staff's english is impeccable and they do provide restaurant recommendations if you ask :)

Stayed for only one night, but it was good. Stayed in a 4-bedroom dormitory, females only. Room was spacious enough. You get a locker to store your things, towels to use, and the shared bathrooms were pretty clean. Standard bunk bed style. Outlets located by each bed which was very nice. Staff spoke very good English.
