Very happy stay in Seoul
I have been lucky to be able to have stayed in many 5 starts places, for example The Peninsula Tokyo, and I have to say that the service at the JW Marriott Dongdaemun Seoul has one of the best service I have ever received, the crew went far and beyond to make me feel happy and welcome, from Kate at the front desk, to Miss Moon and Ian at the bar and the crew at Tavolo 24, smiles and great great service. The Spa experience was very nice also. The room decoration is a little bit outdated, but still a very pleasant bedroom, with all amenities even a hair flat iron. Most of the rooms have a view of Heunginjimun Gate as well as the restaurant and rooftop bar. You have cheonggyecheon stream right there, if you like walking like me, you can walk from to In-sadong , Myeongdong, gyeongbokgung palace, following the stream, beautiful walk in the middle of Seoul. If you don’t like walking, the metro line 4, is also right there in the corner and takes you also to Eujiro, Myeongdong, straight to Ichon (Korea National Museum) and basically everywhere you want to go. Shopping is good too, Doota and Hyundai malls are 5 min walk and also DDP Design Plaza is right there 5 min walk, the hotel is great value for money. I definitely recommend this hotel.

Absolutely Fabulous!
I cannot express how amazing this hotel was. The room was spacious and comfortable. The food at the hotel was fabulous. We will go back for the service. The staff at the JW Marriott was exceptional. They took care of every little thing for us. I would highly recommend staying here. You will not be disappointed.

Gym and Sauna is pretty good but Sauna is little expensive compare to other options outside. Breakfast is good if you can get a discount price with room. Staffs are very nice.

I got a club floor room but on checknout day i had a late flight but they did not allow me access to the club that was the only not so nice part we just needed a place to rest grab coffee only

Great place for tourists. Check out markets that opens from 12 am (mid night market for clothing) Sunday to Thursday. Kwangjang market is only 7 min walk and offer lots of place to eat. Hotel staffs are great. Erika at the door made a great impression for us. Kind and friendly staffs and I will give 10/10 stars

Good for business and/or pleasure
We had a mixed situation where wife had to tend to some family business while, at the same time we both had to continue working (in US time). We both had to be on the phone or Virtual meetings during night time in Korea. The only thing we had to adapt was to move to a larger room (suite) where we could each talk without disturbing the other. The hotel had no problem accommodating that. Accommodations are great, and, if you have access to the lounge, you have your breakfast and dinner. Subway stations are steps away, so you can be anywhere anytime. Great staff!

a very sound and enjoyable stay
We stayed for two nights and had the most enjoyable experience. Great service, wonderful room with view on the ancient city gate. The Executive Lounge offered nice food and drink options during their "happy hours" and it was nice to also be able to enjoy the indoor swimming pool (after vaccination check). Overall one of the best stays we had in Korea. Would always visit again.

Outstanding hotel. Very very nice but not fussy. The service was amazing - they went above and beyond every time we needed help. They helped us with Covid test site, with taxis, with recommendations, all were excellent. And the breakfast was fantastic.

Great hotel
Well located to many shopping malls and two major stations. There is a lot around the area that is open for 24 hours, so if you were jet lagged liked me, it was a great place to stay. The hotel is clean and the rooms are surprisingly large (stayed in a twin room where we had two double beds). Very clean and the staff is super helpful. Would highly recommend staying here.

The staff was extremely cordial and helpful. This is not a large hotel. Rooms are small by Western standard even after upgrade. Room did have a view. Hotel located in front of subway station. There is shopping across the street and small restaurants that open 24 hours few minutes walking distance to hotel. Hotel provided us with printouts of places to eat after midnight. Hotel does not have airport shuttle. I was happy with my stay for one night.
