Slipping in quality and customer service
Somewhat disappointed this time. Front desk people assigned us to 10th floor and after a while cigarette like smell started bother me so I called the front desk thinking that some guests were illegally smoking in their rooms. It turned out that immediately upper floor of our room was a smoking floor. First, I did not know that there is a smoking floor in a up-scaled hotel like this, but what bothered me more was that the hotel staff knew about potential cigarette smell and still gave us a room on 10th floor without any warning. When I complained about this, they offered me to change the room, but I already unpacked everything and did not go through the hassle of repacking and unpacking our suitcases.
I chose an option of including a breakfast. One morning I had a guest so I had to pay for it, but all other days, either I skipped breakfast or ate alone where two people were included. Many hotels give you coupons for meals so that you can avoid the situation like this if you budget your meals. Finally, the amenities like hotel sauna was not included in my stay and I was asked to pay. Not much of amenities. Decors are getting old and decrease in start rating kind of reflects the downward trend of this hotel.
