"TRAVELER BEWARE: This apartment is in a slum and had the worst smell I've ever experienced. The harmful odor was repugnant and pervasive. My wife almost puked from the smell. We left after less than a minute. To pick up the key to the apartment you need to drive 15 minutes away to an odd office and can only communicate with the owner via email or Whatsapp. So we had to drive all the way back to drop off the key. "Loved our quick stay at this apartment. It was fairly easy to find. Parking was limited but we arrived in the evening so many spots had been taken. It is such a lovely community that felt very safe. Many families were outside playing with their children. The apartment was very clean and had everything we needed for our stay. "

The decor is art nouveau and all necessary amenities are included: Expresso Maker, Coffee, Tea, Refrigerator, Microwave, Range, Convection Oven, pots and pans, utensils, plates, cups etc. The flat is a two bedroom , one bath with a separate living/dining area. "It is a very locally flat overlooking a nice part of the city. Unfortunately being on the 24th floor and not having air conditioning on a 30 plus heat wave was less than desirable.The sheets on the bed were stained and I had to reach out to the landlord to ask about how to change them into a new set."

"The property shows up on the Hotels.com map as being in the city center. It was only when I arrived that the host told me it was somewhere completely different, south of the river in a suburb. I cancelled by booking and stayed somewhere else. Zero stars. "

"Over all it is a nice place, but not quiet enough. Not only the trains noise but also the appartment door has a glass and the light gets in each time one of the residents get to the hall way which woke me up frequently. Also no sound proof on windows or walls. But it is very well equipped and very modern and clean "

"A splendid boutique hotel located in a quiet corner of the old town in Bratislava. Rooms were well appointed with an opulent feel and the beds were comfortable with a choice of luxurious pillows. The breakfast buffet had a huge choice of options and the staff were lovely: friendly, attentive and helpful. The adjacent restaurant was great value with high quality food beautifully presented. A lovely hotel that I’m happy to recommend. "

"Great location of hotel to the old town. Bus route right outside the front doors. Excellent range of choices for breakfast. Extremely friendly and helpful staff on reception and throughout the hotel. Room was spacious and clean. Daily housekeeping. Great spa - Finnish Sauna and Steam Room open until 11pm. Massage treatments available, although I did not use. Equipped gym also open to guests. Nice public bar as you enter the hotel. All good, no complaints. This is the second time I have stayed in the Falkensteiner Bratislava, and I would happily return. "
