"We have been guests at the Afternoon Cottages twice. We stayed in #4 the first time and #5 the second time. They are mirror images of each other. Everything was clean and the location is perfect for seeing the Aurora as long as the sky is clear. "The property was in a quiet area with a beautiful view. The interior of the cabin was cozy and warm while the outside was winter winter. The isolated set of cabins are located near a pretty well equipped town, close to the Golden circle and all of its attractions, and far enough out that it gets nice and dark at night if you want to see the Northern lights. There is a food court with six stands a short drive from the cabin, many other options in the small town, and it is close to Selfoss which...

"The property was located in the perfect location to be close enough to all spots in the Golden Circle but far enough away the crowds. The bubble igloo bedroom was the perfect sanctuary to view the amazing scenery, stars and of course two nights of amazing Northern Lights"

"Cute little cabin in a very quiet, remote location. Well-equipped but very small (there’s barely enough space to walk around the beds) so I wouldn’t recommend it for more than four people. Guests are supposed to clean before leaving but clearly, not everyone does and the bathroom was filthy when we arrived. Bad surprise! "

"We stayed five nights in April 2024. We were treated to the Northern Lights our first night. The house is spacious, clean and modern. The beds are very comfortable. It sleeps ten in beds. The area is super quiet. The hot tub is pristine. The host was great and had good documents. The trash/recycling system could be a little more well documented. We did the golden circle, two hot springs and the southern beaches (where we saw Puffins!) Great stay, thanks so much!"

His daughter, Christelle, met us in Reykjavik and drove out, leading the way to their home. She was available to answer any questions about how to work the appliances, etc. She was very helpful. "We spent 8 full days at this Beautiful cabin. The location is stunning, the hot tub is incredible after a long day, and the house is decorated beautifully. We felt very comfortable and enjoyed coming back to the cabin each day after exploring beautiful Iceland."

"Upon arrival, we were impressed by the beautiful landscapes. The cabin itself was clean and modern. From the central space, one window offered a view of Icelandic horses. The other was nearly floor to ceiling where we caught sight of the Northern Lights. Renate was quick to respond and help us when we reached out.
