Summary: Bottom floor studio apartment in a duplex, located at the intersection of Seattle's hippest neighborhoods Capitol Hill, Central District, Madrona and Madison Valley. This space is the perfect location to experience all that Seattle has to offer. Close to the best restaurants, breweries, cafes and nightlife as well as parks, beaches, hospitals, stadiums, universities and downtown! Whatever you are looking to explore, this location is the perfect jumping off point! The space: Queen size bed, fresh linens and towels provided, walk-in shower, 2 person couch, 4k Roku TV, high-speed wi-fi, electric 4 burner stove/oven, refrigerator and enough cooking utensils to get you by. The neighborhood: Walk up Union St in either direction to enjoy craft coffee and cocktails, buzzy local eateries, wine bars, breweries and dessert/donut shops. A full list of local recommendations that are walking distance will be sent after booking. If you don't mind taking the bus there is a line right out front that goes directly to Capitol Hill and then Downtown. There are also two grocery stores within a 5 minute walk, one is a high end natural market with a great hot food bar, produce/meat selection and the other is a budget friendly grocery outlet, great for grabbing a cheap bottle of wine and crackers in a hurry. Internet/connectivity: Gigabyte high speed Wi-Fi Parking: One reserved space in the driveway. Getting around: Besides the one parking space in the driveway behind the house, there's also free overnight street parking (72hr max). However, at times the street parking can get tight. Of note we do not allow oversized vehicles, trucks, trailers, vans or any commercial vehicles in the driveway. You must find street parking for those vehicles. There are bus stops in all directions within 2 minute walk. Uber's and Lyft's are less than 2 minutes away. There are also an abundance of e-scooters and e-bikes like Lime. About pets: Pets are welcome with prior approval and an additional pet fee of $10/day. \*\*\*No pets without prior written approval. If you are planning to bring your furry friend, you must communicate that at the time of booking and additional payment request will be sent and must be paid. Pet rules: Take your pet to go to the bathroom off the property (no pee pads), it is very easy to do this, there are large grass patches along all the sidewalks. If your pet does happen to potty on the property you must bag, tie and dispose of it in an outdoor garbage can. Check-in/access: Self check-in by keycode for a completely contactless experience. Check-in information including your keycode and wifi instructions will be sent at Noon PST on the day of your check-in. The towel rack in the bathroom, the fan and the fuse box were all hanging by one screw. The fan worked but was falling apart. There was no real soap in the bathroom to wash your hands. Not sure what that stuff was. The towels were also hard and did not smell clean. The pillows stored in the storage cubes were disgusting.The shower soap had like one drop left in each of the weird bottles on the ground. The neighborhood was close to restaurants. Rhein Haus, Madrona Arms and Golden Bakery were all delicious and within the neighborhood. Seattle was amazing.The host communicated well and answered all our questions. ##### Maylen F. Séjour de 5 nuits en avril 2025 ### 6/10 – Acceptable #### Veronica G. 22 avr. 2025 Points forts : Propreté #### Depends what you need Some key points to consider about this listing:The check-in process was very efficient, the owner was quick to respond to my message about checking in a bit early which I greatly appreciated. You have your own parking spot included which is also a big plus if you’re planning on having a car.This was one of the few pet-friendly stays I could find in this price range, which was essential for us. The bed and bedding is very comfy!The space was clean, albeit a bit worn out. The kitchen is small and limiting if you’re planning on cooking at all. The oven is absolutely tiny, we purchased a small tray to bake cookies which barely fit. Unfortunately, the oven temperature is also wildly inaccurate and caused our cookies to be burnt well before the bake time was up! If you’re staying during the chillier months, be aware that the space is warmed by a small electric heater. While effective, it is rather noisy and clunky, rattling and waking us up at night. Speaking of noise, you will hear every step the upstairs tenants make. Every every door closing, every toilet flush. I also find the listing to be a bit misleading with the “heart of Seattle” title. While in a cozy residential neighborhood, I would say you’re a ways away from the city sights.Overall, though a bit disappointing in some areas, the space served my husband, our dog, and I well enough during our trip. I’d recommend to consider these points and what you’re looking for in a stay! ##### Veronica G. The door does not lock, there is no microwave, and the shower setup is awkward. The towel rack fell off, and I found items left behind by a previous renter in a drawer, which made it feel like the unit wasn't thoroughly cleaned after checkout. The host did not respond to my message, and communication was lacking.Noise is also an issue—you can clearly hear the upstairs renters walking, talking, and... other activities. The unit only has a space heater, so be prepared to be cold for a while until it warms up. Additionally, the fridge and freezer were dirty. One of the biggest concerns was a large window with no curtain, leaving the unit completely exposed to anyone passing by outside. I tried using a blanket for privacy, but it wouldn’t stay up.That said, there are positives. The bed was comfortable, the location was fantastic and very walkable, and the unit was well-stocked with plenty of pots, pans, and silverware. There is ample storage, and it’s dog-friendly, which is a plus.Overall, small improvements could make a big difference in the experience. I believe hosts should consider staying in their own units for a week to truly understand what renters go through. ##### Alexis W. The bed was comfortable and there was enough utensils for what we needed. Could use a few upgrades, but overall it was a comfy place to come back to after being out and about. A bit loud hearing renters upstairs but nothing terrible. It felt a bit out of the way from Capital Hill downtown - closer to Madrona - but we enjoyed walking and it was also easy to grab an Uber when we didn't want to walk. ##### Amber V.
