The hotel was nice but Internet was bad and room service with ice cream was left outside my door with no or very soft knock. Phone to call room service was not working.

Unfortunately the tub dripped and got worse after staff tried to fix it. Bathroom sliding door didn't always close. Enjoyed the location, the variety of food locations around and friendly staff.

Property is nice but too many fees… parking is expensive so do not rent a car unless money is not an issue.

My phone didn’t work in my room - and then didn’t have heat my entire stay. I had texted the number about it with a picture of the thermostat - and someone from maintenance was supposed to come look at it. At almost midnight I texted again- just asking for some more blankets - for no one from maintenance ever came to look at it that day. And then no response on that message. I ended up leaving the facility at 3am- for my noon flight - the airport was warmer and there was such a breeze my hands and face were stiff and bright pink. It was an extremely expensive weekend stay / and a cold Seattle weekend for the heat not to be working or even extra blankets given 😔 a bit disappointed - I have never been that cold in a hotel before.

First time in my life was charged for an early check-in. The room is empty. Why charge for something that does not cost anything? Because they can? Then there was the destination charge. I booked and paid on Expedia. I should then get a room, but did not as there was a destination charge. In much of the world this is illegal. The issue is if Expedia screwed up on the price they showed or is Hilton pulling a fast one. As Expedia pricing is all automated and comes from Hilton, I recommend against staying here.

The hotel, rooms, and staff are nice. The two concerns we had were outside the staff control. The first is either thin walls or noisier neighbors. We were able to hear our neighbors as they moved about their day and we did not have connecting rooms. The other more important concern is the level of homelessness around the hotel. It's truly heartbreaking.

The side of the hotel with the Elephant restaurant (5th ave.) was really loud really late into the night. Loud music being played. Didn't love that. Otherwise our room was great!

When we arrived to our upgraded room, we found a used wash towel hanging on the back of our bathroom door. The cover for the door’s keycard reader also fell off after opening the door once. Overall the stay was okay and the front desk attendant was helpful.

Great location to walk to everything. Felt a little gouged with $71 US to park for one night, $30 early check in fee and $20 amenity fee on top of the price of the room. Hotel was great, gym was good, lounge was lacking some ambiance.

We have been staying at the Motif for just under a decade now and have always loved our stay. Unfortunately this past visit was lackluster at best. It started with trying to check in early (only if possible) and being told that the room was ready, but that it would cost $25 to check in 45 min early. Room charges ended up being twice that advertised as the City for Seattle tacks on so many taxes and fees. Self-parking is a whopping $57 per night, plus more taxes and fees. The hotel was far from full, so they asked if I wanted to upgrade from 1 queen to a king for $10. At checkout the upgrade was on my account for $15. And on and on. No one thing was a deal breaker, but all together left a bad taste. They did offer free wifi (nice touch) and a coupon to be redeemed in the bar, for a glass of wine. The choices were either chardonnay or a red blend. Both were mediocre. They used to offer you wine upon check in anytime after 4 pm. It certainly created a festive atmosphere after traveling. k-cup Coffee in the rooms is no longer Starbucks. The homeless problem is epidemic in downtown Seattle. I am very sympathetic to all human beings, but it was downright depressing and scary to walk around. Upon check out the hotel rep never asked how my stay was, just asked for my room number and whether I wanted an emailed or paper copy of my receipt. Just doesn't feel like the Motif we have always loved. :(

Hello, we apologize for the stay being lackluster compared to your previous stays. Some of the changes you experienced were because the Motif used to be a Hyatt and is now a Hilton so some things on property did change as far as branding and benefits go. Our GM is regularly working with the city on the homelessness and safety issues but unfortunately the most we can do is provide security on property. If there is anything we can do for you to make up for the issues, please let us know.

Its was in a very convient spot but the room was super tiny and we had to switch rooms because the heater wouldnt shut off and the staff was unsure about how to fix it.
